It’s been a busy and exciting week at Rising View!

With the weather being a bit better this week, our drones have been out in full action, delivering top-notch services across the UK. From Edinburgh, Livingston, and Kirkintilloch to East Kilbride, Northampton, Nottingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Falkirk, and everywhere in between, we've been hard at work! 🌍🚁

What a day! 🤯 Started off in Dundee, flew from Edinburgh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 to London 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 for a drone job in… wait for it… *Calafornia*—not the state, but a place in Buckinghamshire, England!

After wrapping up there, I flew back to Edinburgh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 only to drive down to Washington 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 for another job tomorrow morning. 🚗

The irony? Traveled from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 to England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 to England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 all in one day, and both jobs were in Calafornia and Washington—sounds like a USA trip, right? 🇺🇸 But nope, still in the UK! Just your typical day of globe-trotting without even leaving the country. 🌍✈️

I had the incredible opportunity to capture this stunning drone photograph of St. Andrews Cathedral in Scotland. 🏰 The image beautifully portrays the ongoing restoration work happening at this iconic historical site.

While the ruins of St. Andrews Cathedral are open for exploration, you'll notice the protective fences surrounding the walls of the Cathedral. These are in place to ensure safety during the restoration process. Additionally, a section of the graveyard and several unstable gravestones have been fenced off for the same reason. We want to preserve the site's historical significance while ensuring everyone's well-being.
It's heartening to witness the efforts being made to safeguard our heritage. Let's keep a watchful eye on this incredible restoration journey!

Heads up, drone enthusiasts! 🚁 The latest DJI Drone the Mini 4 Pro has placed a cap on the max altitude - restricting it to 120 meters. If you're an adventurer hoping to capture breathtaking mountain views or fly up elevated terrains, this could be limiting. So think twice before updating, especially if you frequent non-flat landscapes.

It's speculated that this move aligns with EASA C0 classification rules, although the Mini 3 Pro isn't currently labeled as C0. Interestingly, the Mavic, under the same app version, still offers up to 500 meters due to C1 drone regulations. It raises questions on the trust placed on C1 pilots over C0 ones. 🤔

UPDATE - DJI have confirmed that all other mini series drones will have the same limit applied with a firmware upgrade in the coming months.

- A lot of us are wondering: Why impose this on the Mini 3 Pro, a 'legacy drone', when EASA guidelines don't mandate a software-based altitude restriction? 🤷‍♂️ Let's discuss below! ⬇️
