SWE SUPREMACY was a fantastic night full of action and talking points.
Here is a run down of what happened.
In our opener, Tommy Kartel succesfully defended his SWE Future Division Championship against a very game Ross Hunter who made his singles debut and someone we're all sure we'll see again. Kartel has his own ideas regarding his title defences as he pointed out, post match. Who will be next to step up and challenge one of the brighest young talents in the country?
Next up, Rory Shaw. The Heavy Artillery had a few choice words for TJ Rage (who he expects wont be back) and some words of caution for opponents old and new. He, like the SWE audience, had to wait to find out who his opponent was and it was big, bad Damien Black. This was his SWE debut and he was a challenging opponent for Shaw who managed to muscle up the impressive debutant for a big powerslam to claim an equally impressive victory.
Then before intermission we had a fantastic Fatal 4 Way match with TWO referees to keep order. Luke Aldridge vs Saqib Ali vs Irn Dru vs Johnny Thunder/John Hexx This one was wild and amidst the running battle between Hexx and Dru and the rivalry between Ali and Aldridge, we saw Aldridge attempt to take advantage of Dru and Hexx's disregard for the match but he was caught out by Saqib Ali who finessed a huge victory.
After the audience had time to catch their breaths during intermission, SWE presented a Mixed Tag Team Match between Mike Musso and Miss Claire vs Rubi The Basic B Slayer and Old School Cool, Cool Slayings. Rubi wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty and wanted to mix it up with Musso who was more content in beating up OSC. Miss Claire, despite this being her WRESTLING debut and not being a trained wrestler, she did what she could and fought admirably before falling to a despicable elbow drop from OSC. Cool Slayings got the W.
In match five. Brian Christie “The People’s Choice” , unable to team with NERD cohort Kevin Jakobs (who had to have emergency surgery the week before the event) was in singles action against Marc Munro. Jakobs was at ringside to support Christie before his influence drew the ire of Munro who sneakily convinced the ref that Jakobs put hands on him. Jakobs was made to leave ringside and Christie bounced back to take advantage to get the win! Munro was incensed by this and attacked Christie after the bell bringing Jakobs back out to stop the assault. Munro retreated.
And finally......
The SWE World Heavyweight Championship match!!!
Jay The Jackal challenged Hugo Harris Wrestling who was flanked and aided by his manager RPG for the title. This one went everywhere. Outside the building, in the aisle, ringside and finally in the ring, where the carnage was evident to see!!! Not one but TWO referees were knocked down and hurt, and among the carnage, Hugo tried to blind his opponent, he used a chair, and at one point, the Jackal threw Harris into the corner and the turnbuckle came flying off!
Ultimately "The Immaculate" Hugo Harris prevailed with a low blow from RPG after the Jackal hesitated to hit him with a chair for a brief moment. The low blow forced Jackal to drop the chair and Harris stomped his head onto it to finally bring an end to this match. Whats next for both men? We've not heard a peep from either but we're certain it's far from over between the former Endeavour tag team partners.
