Instagram is driving me crazy.

Probably no one had even noticed but now all my grid photos need to be 4x5 instead of square.

My heart is busting revisiting all the little babies that I have photographed as I try to find pictures that now fit the new format

When you visit me at Mabel & Møøse I promise I won’t be thinking about photographing your baby so as they fit on my Instagram grid.

What’s the best age to photograph a newborn?

I get asked this almost every day.

Each hour, each day, each week is precious. Everyday is the best day.

These newborn baby photos start with a premature baby, then 3 days old then 1 week old and then there is just one weeks age difference between each baby all the way up to 3 months.

I will create the most beautiful memories whatever age your baby is.

Not every photograph that I show to you will be perfect. Not in the traditional sense anyway. When I first started out in photography you would never have shown clients their baby yawning or stretching or making any kind of funny face.
But it’s those natural photos that I really love.

Do you have family Christmas traditions?

When you have your own children it’s a great time to either start new family traditions or carry on old ones from your childhood.

I didn’t ever have a stocking when I was little. We put up a pillowcase on Christmas Eve in the hope that Santa would fill it. Always downstairs, never in our bedroom.

When I had my own babies I started new traditions. The cinema late on Christmas Eve and then home for new pyjamas before bed.
Stockings and a Santa sack were hung by the tree on Christmas Eve and no one went downstairs on Christmas morning went downstairs until I’d checked that Santa had been.

I don’t do Christmas photo sessions BUT that doesn’t mean that my tiny clients miss out on Christmas cheer. During a newborn or older baby photoshoot, I can create a Christmassy picture.
