Last month, we had the privilege of hosting the West End Christmas Fortnight Sustainable Community Awards here at The Vine. What an incredible evening it was, celebrating the amazing people and groups who make Dundee’s West End such a vibrant, connected, and caring community.

From local heroes like Dundee WestFest and Transition Dundee, to the tireless volunteers, charities, schools, and friends’ groups who give so much of their time and energy, this event was all about recognising their hard work and dedication.

A huge thank you to Cllrs Fraser Macpherson and Michael Crichton, working for the West End and the West End Christmas Fortnight committee for organising such a great evening. Here's to a more sustainable future together!

This year at The Vine, we’re taking our sustainability efforts to the next level by introducing a new option in our packages: for just £10 extra—matched pound for pound by us—we will plant trees right here in the urban forests of Dundee to carbon offset your entire event. That means everything from travel to powering the venue will leave a lighter footprint on our planet.

And we're able to do this thanks to the wonderful people at Treeconomics, who have educated us in how to support a greener future.

This is a pile of wood chips we saved from going to the landfill, and instead repurposed them into bonnie wee paths to walk on in our garden. As a local business we do what we can to help the environment and are committed to making the most of resources.
