Post conference, few days in the city. This was the last conference for us until September so we have been super busy squeezing everything in. Delivering a number of ‘first time back’ conferences and festivals. Now it is time to relax for a few days and concentrate on the next awesome conference in September. Oh and a bit of travelling this summer too!! Catch me if you can 😂❤️🙏 Elle x

Fantastic few days supporting a client to run a two day residential conference at Voco Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow. Lots of delegates eager for a return of ‘in person’ events. Not even a hybrid insight, I am so over those!! Anyway, big thanks to MM Sound And Lighting Ltd we were in great hands of the crew and the team at voco Grand Central Hotel were tremendous, thank you all 🙏💛☕️

👋 Not posted for a good while... so here I am, back, in fine fettle and absolutely ready to conference. The world of events has not changed so much it seems, a return to 'in person' events means the services we built up pre-pandemic are back and very much in demand. So as we navigate our way though what I will call a 'normal' year ahead I wanted to start with a social post to reconnect, say hello and see you all again very soon.

Here I am, drinking coffee, early in the morning, getting ready for a day of a virtual AGM and an 'in person' conference set up in Glasgow. Pretty much a typical week from 2020..., I am slightly older, not sure I am any wiser but I certainly have some new social tools in my belt. Studying a degree in health, opening two shops on our local high street ('essential businesses' you see!!) I never would just sit back, not sure I actually know how!

We have also dropped the cater hire side of things, not part of the new plan 💛

My personal musings are now Little Hits of Happiness 🧘‍♀️👐

It is New Note Book day at my desk!! I love that, I was speaking with a friend yesterday and took some business notes and realised that was the last page… it has taken a little longer to get to the end of that book however today is a new day, a new zoom and a brilliant 2022 conference to plan for one of our long term clients. So a new note book it is, feels fresh and positive. Have a great week everyone, hang in, there is light at the end of the hospitality tunnel… 😃💪🏻🍾💐🙏🙏

Now it is time to meet Emma who is already currently planning her first Red Pepper event that takes place in July, she hit the ground running and has relished the chance to do so!

I am passionate and committed to helping people by bringing them together both in and out of my professional life. Seeing the joy in others is what empowers me in this line of work.

I have over 20 years experience in the events and hospitality industry, my work has taken me all over the country. From 5 star hotels in St Andrews to music festivals in Glasgow and cocktail parties over the Cairn O' Mount, even as far as Greece where I planned my own bespoke wedding in Santorini.

I am absolutely thrilled to be working alongside Eleanor and the rest of the Red Pepper team continuing to deliver a 1st class experience.

Meet our lovely freelancer Audrey… here is what she has to say 😊 We say WELCOME TO THE TEAM 👏

Hello, I’m Audrey, I have always enjoyed helping people and organizing events as I have a bubbly, outgoing, caring personality. I spent a huge part of my working life helping others within local government until I lost my job in 2016. I was always organising weddings and parties for family & friends so I started up my wedding business, Happy Ever After, in 2017 and my events business, Audrey’s Events, in 2018. I love organizing weddings and events including dressing events, catering, hosting singles nights, planning conferences and fundraising for charities. Everything was going well until early 2020 when we went into lockdown and the events industry stopped!!! All weddings and events were cancelled or postponed until WHO KNOWS!
During the first lockdown in 2020, I was organizing my own wedding for April 2021 when I came up with the idea of becoming a virtual personal/admin assistant for other businesses. This could be achieved virtually and I could use my years of experience as an admin worker to organize, maintain and streamline other businesses workload therefore saving time for business. However, I still missed organizing events!! When I recently had the opportunity to work with Red Pepper Events, I jumped at the chance and am so excited to be working with Eleanor and the team! Can’t wait for the Events Industry to get back to full steam ahead!!

Confidence is obvious now from the volume of enquiries and emails from clients, feels great to know that we will build our business back up. I have had a few enquiries over the past 7 days or so. A hybrid event in London and now a really great virtual event that will be hosted across Scotland for an association we have been working with for many years. Bring it on!
