I’ve been absent for a while.
This is my mum as she walked me down the aisle on my wedding day in 2016.
Three weeks ago I wrote her eulogy, with little time to think, a broken heart and a foggy brain.
I found it very hard to find the words.
Why am I sharing this?
I can (sheepishly) call myself a writer, a performer, a celebrant and a public speaker and yet I found my mum’s eulogy near impossible.
It’s very different when it’s your own.
But I did it. The strength came and I said the words I wanted to, for myself and my sisters, in honour of the woman we all wish we could be more like.
And this is my why as I get myself back to work and living.
Bear with me as I move forward and focus on all the positives.
