So why Frugal Frog Flowers?........
I have a passion for upcycling and recycling so a few years ago I set up this page to sell top quality secondhand home and wedding accessories. It was called Frugal Frog Home & Wedding to reflect the fact that it is possible to furnish your home and decorate your wedding very frugally. In March 2016 I decided to add some fresh flowers to my page for Mother's Da

y and I was suprised at how well they sold - it ignited my passion for floristry - something I had been doing on and off for 30 years. In May 2016 I decided to give up my job to concentrate on the flower side of things, and I have to say I haven't looked back and business is blooming! I have dropped the Home & Wedding part of the name to concentrate on flowers - so now it's just Frugal Frog Flowers

Following my post last week about having not done any of my little 'gifts to go' for a while a couple of you lovely people contacted me to see if everything was ok - please to report it is - had a bit of a speed wobble when Dave did his back in - he was off for a few weeks and was I playing nursemaid as well as running the business - I started off like Florence Nightingale - tending his every need, I then went through a phase of wanting to kill him and then we settled into a bit more of a routine and I actually missed his when he went back to work!
But that was just for a few weeks, and I must confess it's been a lot lot longer since I've shared pictures of any of my work - apologies as I know many of you like to see them, but admin and sorting out the photos are my least favourite thing to do especially when I am so busy actually making up my orders which is what I love most - so note to self 'must try harder' and here a few that I have manage to sort out

After a funeral last week the family put the butterfly tribute in Priory Church, and the church sent the pictures below to the funeral home as they couldn't believe what the children noticed on it .....
The colour of the butterfly matches the butterfly tribute perfectly, and the fact it's way too early for butterflies to be about makes it all the more special

Not everyone's thing, but Christmas wouldn't be Christmas in our house without the darts (and a jigsaw - we live a simple life - lol)
Just want to wish the 16 year old Luke Littler the best of luck in the World darts championship final tonight - what an amazing young man holding his own against the worlds best darts players - go Luke!

Hi guys, just signing off for Christmas, I am open between Christmas and New year for enquiries only

I know that Christmas if a difficult time for many of us that have lost loved ones throughout the year, and you have a special place in my thoughts this Christmas

Here's hoping for a good 2024, when we all need to be a little kinder to other people, as life can be hard at times and a little consideration for what others are going through can go a long way - often we don’t know what others are going through, so we need to be mindful of that too when we are busy trying to arrange our own lives – we are all busy – it’s the way of the world now – I often find it strange that in this day and age we have so many gadgets and gizmos to make our lives easier, and yet everyone always seem to be rushing around stressed out with not enough hours in the day
I myself suffer terribly with anxiety, have done for years, but it has been particularly bad this year (menopausal woman speaking here) I am good at hiding it, but struggle terribly sometimes behind the scenes, I adore making my creations, but being a one man band I struggle with the admin side of things, trying to get order details from people confirmed, and I make matters worse by being a total perfectionist about my work, wanting everything sorted in plenty of time, so I can give families exactly what they want for their loved one’s final farewell
With all this in mind I am particularly proud that I manage to run my little business and would like to thank you all for your continued support

I messaged everyone earlier this week about collection of grave posies, but have not heard back from a few - please reply so I can plan my days running up to Christmas, as I said in the message I am juggling collections with deliveries of funeral tributes and for my sanity I would like to sort out my rota to make sure I am here for your collection as I try to be as flexible as possible

My £10 'gifts to go' are little arrangements I make if I have spare flowers after completing my orders - I have to buy flowers in wraps of 10 or 20, and if I only have one order to do in a certain colour I make the gifts to re-coup some of the money spent on the whole wrap of flowers, so they are excellent value for money as a gift, flowers for the grave or a little treat for yourself

I don't take orders in advance for them as I never know if I will have spare. However, I tend to know a couple of days in advance, so for example if you need some flowers on a Friday it's always worth messaging me a couple of days before to see if I will have any

A couple of times a year I will offer them in advance to raise money for a charity - my contribution is the cost of the flowers and the whole £10 of your purchase is then donated to a good cause

Thank you for your continued support, be it orders or interaction with my page, although I must confess I don't have time to edit and post pictures for you to see as often as I would like
