Hello from a Spring Wreath and me! A sneak peek at my first ever spring wreath, made with a willow base, twine, and adorned with primroses, violas and muscari, and hand gathered lichen-coveted twigs, Hazel catkins, berried ivy, moss and p***y willow.
I also wanted to say hi to all my followers, especially new ones who maybe don't know the face behind the flowers! Thank you for following my flower journey.
My name is Laura, I'm a creative lover of all things wild and flowery, and so chose to start my little business last year selling my jam Jars and bouquets of locally grown flowers in Durham. I'm here while I study Psychology and Education at Durham Uni - some might say it was a mad idea to try growing flowers on top of that! But I couldn't resist. My partner and I have been living in a caravan on some rented land by the river Browney, testing out our dream of living off grid. So, with plenty of field begging to have flowers in it, what better idea than to start a little flower farm. Last year was a steep flower filled learning curve, but I was blown away by people's reaction to the flowers I grew, and arrangements I made. I feel so grateful to every one of you who bought a jam jar, a bouquet, a wreath, or liked and commented on my posts.
Sadly as you all know, we've had to leave our rented land, and will be in Lanchester over spring and summer. Thus, flowers won't be the top of my priority list this season, though we do have an allotment so I will still grow some!
That's it for now - just thought I'd share a little about me!
