Tomorrow we say a ‘Goodbye for now ‘ … to Elize Smith.
A hardworking lass , with a heart of gold , loyal and reliable to the core . She moves to a full time post at Starbucks but hopefully will return for some guest appearances . Her gran Yvonne , worked at my dads pubs for nearly three decades and ‘shaa’ as she’s known on Durham market has kept up the family tradition of being hardworking and reliable . I knick named her ‘camel bladder ‘ as she never took a break . A loved character by regulars and traders of Durham outdoor market traders .
She’s been with us for five years every Sat and festival holidays . Never a minute late, never ever phoned in sick , never missed a shift , never missed a single day trading . An absolute diamond .
