Everyone at Stone Valley is saddened hearing of the passing of Brian James, founding member of The Damned. Our thoughts go out to his friends and family at this difficult time

Brian James, founding guitarist in The Damned, died on Thursday, just a few weeks after his 70th birthday.

We are saddened hearing of the passing of Rick Buckler from The Jam. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends at this difficult time. RIP Rick

His death was confirmed by his bandmates Paul Weller and Bruce Foxton on social media.

Bursting onto the music scene in the 1970's, their singles "Cool for Cats", "Up the Junction", and "Labelled with Love" were huge UK top-ten chart hits and we can't wait to welcome Stone Valley North for the very time!

Also joining us to end your Sunday night in style, are the amazing The Dualers! The 8 piece Ska band are a firm Stone Valley favourite and are the perfect way to round off an epic weekend!

SVF! Who's ready for the return of the S*x Pi**ed Dolls?

After exploding onto the scene in 2014, the S*x Pi**ed Dolls quickly gained a reputation as a must see live band with a colossal set list and a fierce musical performance that few could match.

Following a successful 2015 tour they were asked to perform at the official after show of the FORMULA 1 British Grand Prix, and by 2017 the girls were performing a number of shows and festival headline spots as part of their Avenging Angels Tour, including the Main Stage, Big Top, and Hard Rock Cafe's at the Isle Of Wight Festival, alongside Run DMC, Kaiser Chiefs and David Guetta.

Initially the band covered songs by The Clash, The S*x Pistols, Buzzcocks, Nirvana and many other rock and punk legends, however in 2016 they diversified into writing their own music, releasing their debut EP 'Maniac', recorded at Real World Studios alongside producer Steve Brown (The Cult, George Michael and Manic Street Preachers).

Our Story

IN A GALAXY NOT TOO FAR AWAY (Well, County Durham & Hertfordshire) STONE VALLEY FESTIVAL is coming!! After amazing festivals in 2013,14,15,16,17, and 18, we know 2019 is going to be a year to remember as not only are we looking forward to SVF 7 in Stanhope, Co. Durham, we are also taking this great event down south to Hertfordshire for a second year of SVF SOUTH! ‘

Bands appearing at SVF North on 28th and 29th June 2019 include The Selecter, Undertones, Neville Staple Band, Bad Manners, The Dualers, Secret Affair, The Rezillos, The Truth and many more. Down at SVF South on 24th to 26th May 2019 we’ve got From the Jam, Cast, Peter Hook and The Light, Neville Staple Band, Geno Washington, Secret Affair, The Vapors, Chords UK, and loads more top bands.

Two great SVF events, Two great locations, lots of great music, and a great time to be had along the way. If you’ve been before you’ll know what SVF is all about – a festival experience like no other.

Both events, although at opposite ends of the country, take place in beautiful rural settings, with completely secure areas for campers and only a stones throw away from the local villages.
