A 9 tray Glow messy play set up, they sorted their own food 😊

They had my support for the duration and UV tattoos and bubbles too, and when the party was over and they'd cleared away their food, they went home and I cleaned up .. oh and to top it I also took their photos for them so they could enjoy the party!

A unique, stress free fun party enjoyed by all! 🥳🥳🥳

I have limited dates and times available for messy play parties over the next few months, so if you are wanting a glow messy play or messy play, book sooner rather than later!

Party Package and Softplay hire options..

Have finally got around to creating the softplay disco party poster- exclusive to Cam Youth & Community Centre

Sharing as a few of you have asked me lately.

Soft play disco's in other locations are possible but depends on whether the location hall can be blacked out and the set up will be much smaller due to transportation (see our external softplay max set up Softplay option for size) - and our support for the duration is non optional.. venues we know we can use so far - GDA, Cashes green hall, Uley village hall, North Nibley village hall and Chalford hall (these are venues we have used previously for Glow or disco parties) priced as per the poster but does not include Hall hire (4 hour hire required).

Glow messy play parties in alternative locations (subject to distance) are possible too we have used Uley and North Nibley village halls. Not all venues can be blacked out and not all venues allow messy play this will be down to you to find out.

We will always offer our best value parties at the centre we are based from though.

But whatever the party we promise to make it value for money and as stress free as possible (for the options selected).

February is now fully booked up, I have no dates available for parties, but may have a couple of dates available for 24 hour softplay hire at home (not events elsewhere though). March has a few dates left but is also starting to fill up, and I have bookings in the diary up to September so don't hold off too long!

If you're interested in a party or softplay hire - no date is guaranteed until the deposit has been paid.

We also supplied some balloons and tablecloth and banner to match their "loose theme" just because we happened to have them to hand, and a gluten free plate to cater for an intolerance too 🥰

You only get this size set up at Cam Youth & Community Centre though we can supply a smaller set up else where.. just drop me a message to see how we can help! Our diary is filling up now so message sooner rather than later even if just to book the date with a deposit - decisions can be made a little closer (by a month before) if needed!

Another busy weekend for us! 💚

Happy 3rd Birthday Daisy who celebrated with a Frozen themed Glow messy play party!

This one was fun to plan, though occasionally and completely randomly some thing's I need for parties fall into my lap- like the castle from Frozen which I found by chance in the middle aisle of lidls before Christmas..

The diary is already filling up with most of January and February booked already and 3 dates in march have also gone.. if you're looking for a party with us, WhatsApp is the best way to contact us as we get so many messages and emails occasionally some slip through the cracks..

If you have messaged me in the last week, it's the first week back after Christmas- bear with me I am only 1 person juggling a lot of balls and will get back to you as soon as I can!

🥳It's our Groups birthday!! 🥳

5 years ago 10th of January 2020 just 10 weeks before lockdown.. we opened our doors for the first time and began our journey with Woodfield tots. With a 5 month old and a newly 2 year old in tow I needed somewhere safe to go that just allowed me to be.. with no expectations, no requirement to join in, no instructions to follow and no rules to try and understand.. I felt like I was treading water as a mum of 2 under 2 and needed to know I wasn't alone. After making it through lockdown and facing voluntary redundancy at work, I was so sure in what I wanted to do and the route I wanted to take and as soon as we could we opened our doors back up again, and set about creating something unique and inclusive something that wasn't like the others..

Over the years with the help of some amazing friends we created something special, that built on being a safe space by allowing all children 0-5 the opportunity to take part in activities that would help them develop and grow, while offering all the adults responsible for them a safe and supportive space too.

I am proud of how far we have come, it hasn't been easy and there have been times where I wondered if I was wasting my time, but over 2000 visitors and probably in the region of 180 parties and 5 years later here we are.

In 2023 we won an award with Muddy stilettos for best children's business in Gloucestershire an award I am so proud of.. we were nominated last year but under our old name and as I'd just split the business I withdrew from the awards as I wanted to be sure which business was being nominated- but I was so happy to be nominated at all.

Last year we set up The Early years Village CIC and continue to run the stay and plays as a CIC. Our mission is to help and support everyone raising or looking after children in their early years. We are the village you didn't know you needed.

Woodfield tots was spilt into 2 last February 2024 and under the original name continues to run in partnership with our CIC with Softplay and equipment hire for events, parties and ad-hoc childcare.. You guys supporting and using my Woodfield tots business whether for parties or childcare allows me to continue to run the cic.

People still associate and call our CIC group woodfield tots, but I guess that's because I am Woodfield tots, and that's the name we've grown with...

This year we have some exciting ventures and plans coming up, I'm hoping this will be the year we start to reach more of you, and pick up our numbers so we don't have to put our prices up.. we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you guys. Keep coming along and supporting us and hopefully we'll be around for a lot longer.. 🤞🏻

Ad-hoc Childcare available between now and February half term (17th Feb)

Whether you have a work/personal meeting, Gym visit, class, coursework, shopping trip, food shop, want a nap catch up, just some me time, respite from children with and without sen, stop gap between work starting and childcare availability starting - or any other reason and don't have a local village you can rely on - that's what I'm here for.. anything from 1 hour, to 6 hours (9-3pm) 1 off day to a term or slightly longer (up to 3 months) non funded Ofsted registered care.

They attend any sessions with me, (included) and then if still with me spend the rest of the time in my care at my home or outside/slimbridge wwt/leaf and ground/woodlands depending on numbers and ages in my care etc.

The only catch is- they must have been to at least 1 session at The Early Years Village - Woodfield tots or know me from elsewhere.

Current availability- (subject to changes and any ad-hoc hours booked so check with me first)

Mondays 1 space - 9-1pm 13th Jan, 3rd and 10th Feb

Tuesday 2 spaces - 9-3pm 7th, 14th, 28th Jan, and 4th and 11th Feb

Wednesday 8th, 22nd, 29th, Jan and 5th and 12th feb- 2 spaces 9-3pm
15th Jan 1 space over 2s -9.30-11.30 only.

Thursday - no availability this term.

Fridays - 2 spaces 9-3pm 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st Jan and 14th Feb
9.30-11.30 only 7th Feb

🥳 Softplay Disco Birthday party 🥳

We ended the year 2024 with one last Softplay Disco party and this was the set up..

They opted for my support, Smoke machine, UV& Glitter tattoos and a full buffet. Balloons and decorations were all included too.

Pretty much as stress free as parties and organising parties come..

I have 1 date left for a party in January- 25th

Please note- no dates are secured or held until the deposit has been paid..

The rest of January is now fully booked, and February and march are filling up..

In a million years I would never have guessed the words that would follow the question I asked my new 7 year old- when I asked him what he wanted to do for his 7th birthday.. would be- "A Dog themed messy play party.. but not wet mess, and I want some craft stuff too, and the snow machine.. oh and I want everyone in fancy dress!" -This child knew exactly what he wanted..

Ok... Challenge accepted! 🥳

Having never done a party for a child over 6 before this one was new for me.. but never one to back away from trying something new- we kept it small including everything he asked for, so C didn't find it too overwhelming and overstimulating invited just 12 of his friends and made the stations much bigger, his favourite dogs are Huskies, so obviously we had to include snow too..

We had artificial snow, snowball's, we had bubbles and we had glitter tattoos too! 🥰

And it went down a "snow"storm he loved it! 🥳🥳🥳

We are happy to work with you to create the perfect bespoke party, no matter what their age is- prices may vary from our package prices for children over 6 depending on what options you choose.. but if I can, I will... 💚💚💚

A Messy play Birthday party for a Barbie/Mermaid/unicorns/Cars/dinosaur loving 3 year old.. Happy 3rd Birthday Nora!

I did the full buffet for this one, and it included support during and the clear up too!

They brought along their own cake, and what an amazing cake it was! 😍

Safe to say the adults enjoyed this one as much as the kids did.. 😆😉💚

All pictures were taken for them so they could keep their phones in their pocket and enjoy their party - pretty much as stress free as parties go!

Ended the party with Bubbles for that perfect party finale.. 🥰

Dates in the diary for messy play or Glow messy play parties are pretty much full between now and the first weekend end of February with only 4 dates remaining 23/24 Nov, 8th Dec and 12th January left.. (these may go before I get a chance to amend this post again so check with me first!)

My diary for Nov, Dec and January are nearly full.. I have hires/parties in the diary for as far down the line as April with 1 booking for sept 2025.. here's a few hires we've done in a variety of venues from home hires, to small halls and alongside bouncy castles (-not ours we don't do castles- they're hired out by Dursley bouncy castles usually) if you're looking for a home hire or party get in touch sooner rather than later!

Happy 2nd Birthday Addlee!

Every party we do is different and unique and individually catered for the child whose party it is, and yesterday's party was one of them..

A Mini Messy play party, with a few requests - firstly no "wet mess" just a more sensory based experience, that had no risk of staining party clothes.. with a theme of a mix of her 2 favourite things, Farm animals, and dogs- to go with her amazing Waffle the wonder dog birthday cake 💚

And this was the result.. 😍

Their mini messy play 1 hour party included the use of Cam Youth & Community Centre the decorations and balloons, a small snack type buffet, and teas and coffees and squash and water, my support for the duration - I took photos so they could enjoy the party, we finished their party with bubbles and I dealt with the set up and clean up.. there were 9 adults and 5 kids at this one. 😊 They got to arrive in time for the party - they didn't need to bring anything but their birthday cake, they had their party fun and they got to leave at the end of the party, they didn't have to spend anything over the cost of the party so they knew they could keep to their budget - pretty much as stress free as they come!

The mini messy play set up is for an advised max of 15 children, but it's a guide not a rule.. all 5 kids had a great time!

I do still have a few dates available for parties and softplay hires between now and march, but dates are filling up with most Saturdays booked between now and December..

Whether you have a Glow messy play, Messy play, Softplay or Softplay disco there is something for every one we can adapt our parties to suit all ages 1-6.. both at the centre or elsewhere (venue hire and food not included elsewhere and may include a travel fee) just drop me a message (preferably by WhatsApp) and we can go from there..

If you wish to hire the softplay equipment- for elsewhere, or at home- we do that too!

(Side note, no party is booked or secured until the deposit is paid- it's absolutely not a problem if you change your mind, or go with something else- but a message to let me know out of courtesy is appreciated, so the date can be passed on and I don't lose the income for the day).

Made the most of the unpredictable weather forecast yesterday, by setting up our construction set up in the living room for a small 5th birthday party alongside a castle from Dursley Bouncy castles in the garden..

Perfect back up plan.. luckily the downpour came just as we packed up everything and got as much as we could indoors!!

👷🏼⭐ Our new set up has arrived! ⭐👷🏼 Perfect for the little construction vehicle fans in your lives- this equipment is perfect for unders 6s (though my 6.5 year old loves it too.. 🤣) 👷🏼 An 18 piece set up, with a 4ft x 4ft ball pit and a softplay slide with 6 softplay mats (For perspective our usual multi coloured set up we hire out is a 12 piece set up and 3ft ballpit) 👷🏼Hire the whole set up with 6 mats, and 2 animals hoppers for a birthday party at any venue, event or 24 hour home hire just because! - for however long you need it up to 24 hours for £100 (travel extra if over 10 miles from dursley) 👷🏼For hires at cam youth and community centre only- it will be the same price but with 12 mats and additional shapes and 2 red ride ons) 👷🏼Smallest space needed for full set up is 12ft x 9ft or 8ft X 9ft depending on how the 6x 3ft x4ft mats are set up as ballpit can go on top of the mats or to the side. 👷🏼Can be used outdoors, but will need to be shaded from the sun (as the softplay heats up and makes it too hot to play on) and not raining/ground dry. 👷🏼Special offer 10% discount to the first 3 people to hire this set up *** (***deposit of £20 must be paid on booking to secure booking - balance due by a month before)
