Congratulations to the gorgeous Kayleigh who said ‘Yes to the Dress’ yesterday with her Mum and Bestie.

Kayleigh put her faith in me after a brief discussion of dresses she’d tried on before at various other shops and just knew on the first and only dress I put her in that it was the one! WOW she looked incredible in a and I’m so so happy for her and look forward to pictures from her wedding at next year.

Oh do we have an incredibly stunning collection of wedding gowns from the most talented wedding designers, are you looking to find your dream wedding dress?

We have over 180 new and off the peg gowns in the boutique over two floors in sizes 6 to 32. We stock every shape and style with prices from £950 to £3,600 new and off the peg and sale dresses under £1,000.

We buy new dresses every September with gowns coming in from the Autumn through to the beginning of the year.

Dresses usually take 5-6 months to order in new. You will need to incorporate approx 6 weeks alterations times into your planning, that you shop at least 7-9 months ahead of your wedding for a new dress.

Off the peg dresses can be taken away on the day and alterations completed within a few weeks.

Hello and welcome to The Bridal Affair and Curvy Bridal here in Easingwold near York. Have we met before?

We have a wonderful boutique in the bustling market town of Easingwold just 15 minutes drive north of York off the A19 to Thirsk and the North East.

There are over 180 designer wedding dresses in sizes 6-32 over two floors, as well as stocking occasionwear sizes 2-28 and accessories with full disabled access.

Two of my step children got married over the last 18 months, so I know the wedding industry both professionally and personally.

Well Ladies have announced the results of the National Weddings Survey 2024… here’s how it was compiled and the main findings, which are of interest:-

‘This report is compiled using data from annual National Wedding Survey, which, this year, includes data from more than 3,000 couples who got married in 2024.

Respondents represent couples from all over the country with various ethnicities, income levels, race, age, sexual orientation and gender identity.

To provide the most comprehensive view of 2024 weddings, this report also includes wedding statistics from ad hoc studies conducted throughout the year, and from their own database.

In a typical year, The Knot Worldwide conducts research with more than 300,000 couples, guests and wedding professionals globally.’

The main findings have shown:-

The average age of couples getting married is 35 and 7 out of 10 are Millennials.

The average couple is planning their wedding over 14 months of which 1 in 3 met online… how fascinating!

61% of couples have a wedding website and 57% use it to share details about their day… do you have one?

The average cost of a wedding venue is between £9,000-£10,000 but 20% of couples spend more than £15,000.

I had the pleasure of the gorgeous Federica and her future Mother in Law Sue in the boutique yesterday… Federica was visiting from London and had a list of dresses she wanted to try on, which is always such a great help when narrowing the search.

Congratulations to Federica she fell head over heels with the first dress she tried on and there were tears from Sue and a resounding ‘Yes to the Dress’. A stunning gown will be winging it way to us later this year.
