Please note - We have found that due to our phone settings (which we can't seem to alter for this particular security setting) that if we receive calls and voicemail messages from a *Private Unknown Number* or *Number Withheld* which includes private landline numbers, we are unable to use the 'call back' feature. We can use the 'call back' feature for all mobile numbers. E-mail ([email protected]) or WhatsApp (07501 555853) is the best place to message us, as all messages will be seen and responded to.

Please note -

We have had to make the difficult decision to further suspend the taking and fulfilling of any orders until Summer - July 2025 (I am a registered Bake from Home Bakery business-with a MSDCC food safety rating of 5).

While I look after my Father's continued recovery, numerous follow up Hospital appointments, Personal Admin work that has become necessary, to get things in order and to try and rest mentally and physically after the difficult time we had with my Father's illness, lengthy hospital stay, and (thankfully) discharge and recovery at home, plus an extremely busy Christmas.

To try to get some rest, spend some family time together after the last difficult 5 months, to be there for my Mother too, to enjoy still having my Father around. Also, while I gather myself and make a decision as to how best to take this business forward once more, once I am calm and rested.

For now, I will be making cakes for fun, hopefully to fall back in love with the baking I so missed and was unable to do while things were so difficult for us all. My Father is doing so well so far, and is ok ♥️.

Therefore, I hope to be back in the Summer with bells on, and with new cake photos for you all. To feel able to deliver the good service once more, I know that I usually can. To re-launch the business. Begin again.

You've all been amazing and so supportive, which I am so very grateful for, and I hope that you will continue to join me on this journey once I am rested and feel able to start afresh this Summer.

Marbled Fondant Chocolate Buttercream Cake*

*(After I initially photographed this cake, I went back and blended the fondant edges better. It takes time, but, it is possible to do so with a fine brush and clean warm water to blend the fondant together, to make a neater cake 😊)

About me, the person behind the cakes and Anderida Bakery -

I'm Vera, I have lived in East Grinstead nearly all my life (since 1982). I am from Southend-on-Sea in Essex originally.

When l'm not baking or decorating cakes, I have a lifetime love of Dogs, Horses and Horse-riding, plus a lifetime love of Ballet, Dance and Singing, and, I sometimes take part in the occasional performance/show. These days, I mostly do it to stay fit and for fun.

I had the idea to start cake making and decorating as a hobby - to indulge in my creative side, and to make wonderful cakes for my amazing niece and nephew - just as lockdown started. Which then turned into a love of cake creations and decorating.
Four years later - I decided to turn it into a business, Anderida Bakery.

I'm very much looking forward to expanding the
business this year.

I hope this is a journey you will join me on.
So many ideas and plans for 2025 to take this
business forward in the coming months, starting in the Spring.

I'm looking forward to creating these and your ideas in 2025 and beyond.

I am very much excited to be moving on to and looking forward to the next stage of promoting this business. I have learned so much already in the last four years, and I will keep learning as I go, since deciding to embark upon turning this into a local business.

I eventually hope to get out and about, at a few local markets this year, hopefully in the summer months* (*We are already registered as a food business with MSDCC, with a rating of 5), I hope to maybe see some of you there, one day, meet new people and hopefully potential customers.

I will continue to update our social media pages with content, information, photos and cakes I will make.

In the meantime, a very big thank you to my followers, family and friends, so far, for sticking with me. I sincerely hope that you will continue to enjoy the content I post, and continue to join me on this journey.
