Ali and George

The is nothing like the movement of Silk Satin Organza. A luxurious soft fabric which floats like clouds and moves like a dream. A beautiful romantic fabric, this one is Italian and a firm favourite of mine.

I am simply delighted to be able to share these incredible images of Ali and George at the stunning Lancing College Chapel.

This beautiful wedding meant a little bit more to me as I have watched George grow from a baby into a wonderful young man. George is the son of my fantastic right hand woman , so as you can imagine I was somewhat excited when Ali asked me to create her bespoke silk organza dress. (More about that later) the end result was stunning and I wish them all the love and best wishes for the future ###

I loved working with Olivia to create her beautiful bespoke dress. The dress had 3 different looks to carry through from the church to the dance floor.

The corseted ballgown was made from the finest Italian silk Zibeline with a fabulous detachable sculpted train. The lace long sleeved bodice made from beautiful French chantilly lace.

New Dress Alert: Ella

Soft and whimsical, Ella is hand appliquéd with colourful floral embroidery. It takes the team weeks to create the beautiful embroidery covering the bodice and skirt. The matching veil was the creation of Ella, during her internship with us. Magical!

Let’s talk Flowers!

Last week I was delighted to be asked to be part of a collaboration to create bridal wedding day looks. It was really important to create a stunning surrounding to capture the images so who better to ask than fabulous florist Chrissy from

The venue has the most beautiful staircase and the idea was to create a stunning centre piece. Chrissy created the most beautiful display of flowers and candles sweeping up the bannister. We were blown away by her work.

New Dress 💕

Just in time for Valentine’s Day our beautiful flower embroidered dress is in the window and attracting lots of attention.

Hand appliqué flowers adorn the mikado bodice and full tulle skirt. Complete the look with an incredible floral cathedral veil, featuring cascading appliquéd flowers falling down the length of the veil. 💕

Hello

With so many new followers I thought it was time to say ‘hi’ and welcome to my boutique and Atelier based in the West Sussex Tudor town of East Grinstead.

I opened the doors to my boutique and Atelier over 20 years ago and am very proud to be 100% British made.

In order to provide a bespoke service to every bride I limit the numbers of clients I work with. This does mean that I have to say ‘no’ to lots of brides, but it also ensures that my bespoke clients receive an unprecedented level of service and a bespoke dress made to perfection.

My 2023 diary is almost fully booked with only 3 places available for bespoke dresses. My 2024 diary is now open for orders.

What does the word mean?

To put it simply, it’s a dress which is completely unique to you, it’s been designed for you to your exact requirements, fitted to you to perfection and will always include a calico toile.

What does it not mean?

A dress selected off the peg, made to a standard size, and maybe with a slight design change. This is a customised dress!

Only a designer or dressmaker can offer you a bespoke wedding dress, so if you’re looking for a one off, made to measure wedding dress visit a designer who can pattern cut and change your dreams into reality, or a boutique who works with a British designer who offers this service.

Real Bride Tasia 🤍

Love this beautiful autumnal image of Tasia. It was all about the sleeves! Creating a bespoke dress allowed Tasia to have her dream dress with statement sleeves. It was such a joy to work with Tasia, and create her dress using mikado fabric, woven using recycled fibres. Not just a beautiful dress but a carbon neutral dress 🌍🌱

Atelier Fitting ‘Olivia’ 🤍

Olivia had a very clear idea of what she wanted for her wedding day so a bespoke dress was clearly the way forward.

Throw in a couple of Covid lockdown years and a move abroad for Olivia it was just magical when the day arrived. A marquee wedding at home with a walk to the country church, the day was filled with sunshine, love and laughter and definitely worth the wait.

The dress was an absolute dream to design and make, sumptuous Italian silk Zibeline and exquisite French lace, we created a dress which could have 3 different looks, long sleeves and cathedral veil with a pleated bustle train for the church, remove the top to reveal a French lace corseted bodice for the reception and finally remove the pleated bustle and let your hair down to party the night away. 1 dress, 3 looks, 1 incredible day. 🤍

I have dressed many beautiful brides at this delightful country church set within the estate of the Sackville Family. I love the calm peaceful setting and the incredible bird song.
