With Autumn upon us and October just around the corner, our spooktacular afternoon tea has arrived.

We are now taking bookings for Sunday 27th October.
We have 2 sittings available:

12pm - 2pm
Or
3pm - 5pm

No tricks here though, just treats to be had as you step into our spookily decorated Tea Room and tuck into our Halloween inspired afternoon tea.

£24.95 per adult
£17.95 per child (under 11’s)
~ Each child will receive a Halloween treat ~
Includes unlimited tea, coffee and soft drinks.

SUPPORTING MACMILLAN 🫶🏻

You may remember we did this last year and we’re doing it again…
So tomorrow, 27th September, we are supporting the incredible charity that is Macmillan.
A charity close to our hearts and I’m sure to many of yours too.
Instead of hosting a coffee morning, we will be donating a % of our total takings across our whole menu, not just coffee and cake.
So pop in to see us, sit in or takeaway and help us to help Macmillian and donate as much as we possibly can.
We also have a MacMillan donation box by the till too.
Open from 10am - 2pm.

THEY’RE BACK BABY!

I stand by the saying that if something is worth doing, you should never half-ass it, you should always use your whole-ass 🤪
So our cheesecake pots have been off the menu as I just haven’t found the time to give them my all…and therefore, I simply wouldn’t have been happy with a half-ass product.
But I know you’ve all been asking for their return and I’m pleased to confirm that they are BACK, with my love care and attention poured into each one.
Today we have bourbon & custard cream in the fridge…how long they’ll last today, I don’t know, but what I do know is that they have passed my quality control and taste delicious!
We’re open until 4pm today…

I know we gave you the heads up about a couple of dates that we will be closed for my mums funeral which will be on 11th September, but I promised to remind you of these closer to the time too, so here’s a reminder of these below.

THURSDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER - We will be closing at 2pm on Thursday 5th September.

TUESDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER - Closed

WEDNESDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER - Closed

I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but we have kept these to the bare minimum to avoid too much disruption.

OH BABY 🧸

A jam packed weekend finished off with a private hire for a baby shower today.
Afternoon Tea for 14 ladies and a whole load of fun to go with it!
Thank you so much for choosing us…as always we are humbled and grateful.

We get booked up super quick for our private hire, so if you’re thinking about us as a venue for a celebration, we recommend getting in touch with us as soon as possible.

A MILKSHAKE KINDA DAY 🥤

It’s been a milkshake kinda day in the tea room today.
And we can confirm, they’re not just for the kids…I’m partial to a cheeky chocolate shake myself!

Sorry I haven’t checked in this week, but just a reminder that we remain open as usual and I’m back full time again too 🫶🏻

So here’s a little roundup as August comes to an end:

~ ‘A NIGHT AT BIAGIO’S’ ~

We still went ahead with our Motown night on Saturday and loved having you with us for another ‘A Night At Biagio’s’
Wasn’t Christophe amazing again!
Watching you dance the night away made it all worth while.
Thank you yet again for joining us.
We will not be having an event next month, but keep your eyes peeled for our October ‘A Night At Biagio’s’.

~ UPCOMING CLOSURE ~

We will be closed for 2 days in September for my Mums funeral, so here’s an early heads up on those dates:

We will be closed on Tuesday 10th & Wednesday 11th September, then back open as usual from 12th September.
I’ll be sure to remind you again as we get closer but wanted to let you know as soon as possible.

Thank you to everyone who has shown so much love and support. The flowers, cards, hugs, messages and outpour of kindness has been overwhelming and I’m so grateful to each and every one of you for keeping me going.
And a huge thank you to Tony & the team for keeping the Biagio’s doors open in my absence to avoid disruption and disappointment. I know the pressure has been on for them but I’m sure you’ll agree that they’ve done a wonderful job.

OH SO BITTER SWEET 🫶🏻

I’m not checking emails right now, but I thought I’d just check for anything that urgently needed my attention yesterday and there was an email to say that we had been shortlisted in the Tearoom/coffee shop of the year category of the West Norfolk Food & Drink Awards.
This was the news my Mum was waiting for.
She’d have been so elated that we were in the running and as my biggest cheerleader through life, she’d have been telling me how proud she was and how much she felt we deserved it. Mum took all of those little wins as such a big deal and she was always celebrating for us as winners even when she knew we’d probably be a few steps behind.

We’ve been invited to the awards ceremony which takes place a few days before her birthday in October. Winners or not, it really doesn’t matter because I know in her mind we’d have already won.

Although bitter sweet right now, I do just want to say thank you to everyone that voted for us. Taking your time to put our humble little Tea Room in the mix means the world.
Having you wonderful lot as part of the Biagio’s family rooting for us is why we keep on keeping on.

I’m not around at the moment, but as soon as I can be I’ll be back in the hustle and bustle catching up with you all.
In the meantime, thank you for your patience and outpour of love and kindness.

Sadly my beautiful Mum passed away yesterday - devastated doesn’t even come close 💔 and I really need Tony right now, so we have made the decision to close our doors for today.

A LITTLE UPDATE 🫶🏻

Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out this past week. It’s been a real toughy.
You’re all so lovely and so kind.
Your prayers, thoughts and well wishes for my beautiful Mum mean the world to all of us.
I’m sorry that I haven’t got back to you all, but I’ve read every comment & message and every day I visit my Mum, I remind her just how many wonderful people are rooting for her.

She’s still very poorly and is still currently in critical care - pneumonia and sepsis require some hardcore help and the drs and nurses in the intensive care unit have thrown everything they’ve got into helping her get better.
Despite them all telling us she wouldn’t make it through Monday night, she’s defied all the odds. She has a very long way to go, but strong, brave and bloody determined are the 3 words I would use to describe my mumma right now.

I know I haven’t been around much and I also know that lots of you are missing your cheesecakes, but please bear with me at the moment.
Tony is doing an incredible job juggling the 3 children whilst keeping everything running so I can clock in and out to be with my Mum.
Things are all a little out of sorts right now, but your patience and understanding whilst we navigate through this time is appreciated beyond words.

Tony & the Biagio’s team are working super hard to keep everything running smoothly during my absence, so we are still very much OPEN AS USUAL.
And to those that have seen me this week between the tears and tired eyes, your love and hugs have been the pick me ups I didn’t know I needed.

NOT YOUR ORDINARY POST

I know this post is out of the ordinary for me, but I need to ask you a favour.
My beautiful mum is very poorly in hospital right now, she’s fighting hard and the doctors in the critical care unit are doing everything they can to make her better, but I’m a big believer in the power of positive energy.
Please can I ask you to hold her in your thoughts today.
She’s a strong cookie but if a little prayer or some extra help from the universe gives her a tiny bit more oomph, then it’s worth a try.

A BIAGIO’S AUGUST UPDATE ✌🏻

Gosh, the school holidays juggle is real…

Just when I think I’m on top of things, I remember that I haven’t checked in with you for a while…sorrrrrrrry!

So what’s new…well now that you ask…I guess we should let you know that our website is now LIVE, again!
We’ve been in the process of rebuilding it and although it’s not quite finished, it is live, functional & has all the fundamentals so you can take a look at our menu, opening times, contact information etc.

We’re working behind the scenes to finalise things & hopefully the end product will be a clean and user friendly website…It’s just taking a little longer than expected.
But in the meantime, you can take a look at:

In other news…Tony & I have taken it in turns to be poorly, so if you haven’t seen much of me this last week, I’ve still been there, just been a little more behind the scenes than I’d like, but I’m back to myself & no doubt you’ll be sick of my smiley face & hugs in no time 🤣
It’s Tony’s turn this week to catch up with lots of the behind the scenes admin.

The work being done to the front of the building is still ongoing. If you’ve visited in the last 4-5 weeks, you may well have seen the lovely Ash working hard to restore the exterior.
What looked to be a fairly simple job on the surface, turned out to be a complicated, detailed & time consuming restoration.
But…the end is in sight! And if you’ve visited us a few times during that work & watched the progress, I’m sure you will agree that he has done an exceptional job with the love & attention it so deservingly needed.
Ash has done his best to minimise the disruption as much as possible but inevitably there has been some from time to time, so we would like to thank each & every one of you during this time for your understanding & patience.
Not long now before we have a shiny new frontage!

It’s been a busy first week of August, so thank you, as always, for choosing to visit us 🫶🏻
And with a Jam Packed booked up month ahead, we’re looking forward to the rest of the August juggle.

Don’t forget that we’re open from 10am - 4pm tomorrow & then from 10am - 2pm on Friday & Saturday…we can’t WAIT to see you.

Soooo, you guys LOVE our lemon and pistachio Blondie so much, we have a new cake in our counter from tomorrow which I think is going to give the blondie a run for its money.

I think July was a warm up for this month and if the first half of this week is anything to go by, I’ve got a feeling we’re going to end it busier than ever.

For our next ‘A Night At Biagio’s’ we bring you to…
…MOTOWN NIGHT!

Our last Motown night sold out before we could even tell you about it…and this time we’ve almost done it again…but I’ve managed to hold back a few tables so we could give those that didn’t get the chance to join us last time to grab a table…1 table of 4 and 1 table of 8 available.

So here’s what you need to know:

DATE: SATURDAY 24TH AUGUST 2024
TIME: 7PM - 10PM
LOCATION: BIAGIOS, THE GREEN, EAST RUDHAM, PE31 8RD
PRICE: £39.95 - includes: 2 courses and live music.
~Mains: Pulled pork brioche buns, served with grilled halloumi, crushed new potatoes, side salad and homemade slaw
~Dessert: Gelato

Dressing up is voluntary, but having a dance is mandatory 🤣 🕺🏻

We will be licensed on the night too, so you can grab a cocktail, wine, beer or tipple of your choice.
Alternatively, we will also be serving our soft drinks, tea and our barista made coffee if an alcoholic beverage isn’t your thing.

Arrivals at 7pm, food served for around 7.30pm.

The cocktails flowed and Mac kept the chilled summer vibe with his Sax all evening.

IT’S A’𝓛𝓪𝓽𝓽𝓮 FUN! ☕️

We knew July was going to be crazy, but my goodness…despite buckling ourselves in and making more of everything…it’s been a sell out every single day this week so far…

With Tony off for the week with the children, my little hands are trying to make, bake and create faster than ever before.

It’s been a’latte fun here though!
The team have endured the heat, picked up the pace and in amongst the madness and me intermittently checking in to see if they’re all hydrated and still breathing, we’ve been sampling the new dishes on the specials board and getting prepared for Friday nights cocktail night 🍸

Honestly, we can’t thank you enough for showing the love and support you do for our humble little business.
I know I say it all the time, but I truly hope that each and every one of our customers know just how valued and important you are to us and just how grateful we are to have you as part of the Biagio’s family.

So with a sell out day today, I’ll be in bright and early to restock and make sure there’s an abundance of fresh coffee at the ready, cakes and cheesecakes aplenty and fresh ingredients to prepare breakfast, brunch & lunch!
Oh…and not forgetting a gelato restock…yeah…that was a sell out too 🫢
