Hi all,

Due the most recent outbreak of Corona virus up North and the new restrictions put in place for outdoor events, we have had to heavily take into consideration of putting the Rise and Rhyme Moonlight sessions event on hold.

We have decided it would be best to post-pone the event until we are able to freely orchestrate the event outside. We have made this decision we do not want any flare up’s or trouble holding an event. We strongly apologise but we will be putting the event back on as soon it’s safe and they ease restrictions.

We apologize for the inconvenience 😔

Love from
The Playhouse poets

His life mattered.

What must it take to kneel on someone’s neck?
A fear of that person, so fierce, that their human decency they neglect.
What must it take, for a peace maker to turn on their duties and reject..
All human instinct for compassion, as the man lay and wept.
What right do you have to hold someone against their will?
Not breathing, crying for their mother suffocating until..
Apparently more men are needed to hold him still.
Unaware of the torture inflicted, and the repercussions to kill.

In order to keep order, you have to show tolerance.
Understanding, empathy, violence the last line of defence.
You resist your impulse to fight fire with fire.
And rely heavily on common decency and common sense.
Your must be able to look at yourself in the mirror.
And tell yourself that you are happy with the choices you consider.
An honest summation of your actions to figure,
That lead you away from the path of a sinner.

Those actions will dictate who you are forever.
A split second in reality but a lifetime to remember.
You can turn to your colleagues and hope you are all in this together.
But alone you will fall when a persons life you did sever.
No one to blame, no system at fault.
When the choice you made was your natural default.
A catalyst for change and a chance to revolt.
Will never be enough for the Floyd family’s assault.
