My daughter and I had a wonderful evening last night at Connie & Cooper Delphi Flowers Flowers Christmas wreath-making workshop.

I delivered a vintage glassware package consisting of tumblers, wine glasses, decanters and cake pedestals, vintage cutlery, vintage dinner plates and serving platters, along with handmade vintage floral napkins and handwritten signage.

This wedding has been a long time coming and I can't wait to see how this lovely couple bring everything together!

5 reasons why you should hire a venue stylist for your wedding day.....

2022 what an epic year! Here's a few numbers I've kept note of.... Me and Mr BLV have washed and polished 2388 pieces of vintage cutlery, 650 tea cups and saucers have been carefully packaged and 230 vintage floral chair covers have been ironed. I have sewn over 150 metres of bunting! I travelled from one side of Sussex to the other, popped over the border a just a fraction to Tunbridge Wells and an epic road trip to Harrow driving 1503 miles this year. I have styled, and supplied vintage crockery, tableware, props and chair covers for weddings, birthday parties and a celebration of life this year. I am so lucky to work with so many amazing local wedding venues, three of which are so local they are less than a mile from my home! A huuuugggeee thank you to all of my lovely couples and clients, I'm so honoured to have been part of your special day. Vintage Marquee Wedding Inspiration by Betty Loves Vintage.

Last weekend I styled a wedding in Harrow St Mary’s Cricket Club. The gorgeous J & R set me a brief which included most of my favourite words! Colourful, vintage, eclectic, Alice in Wonderland vibes with nods to both the couples Welsh and Indian heritage. Mr BLV and I were boiling, but still managed to have so much fun bringing colour to the marquee, using my collection and some of the couples own special pieces. We set the tables with my vintage tableware and props for centrepieces, the Grooms family provided the beautiful florals. Outside we set up a garden game area with a mixture of mine and the couples games, and provided a cosy colourful vintage lounge for guests to sit back and relax. It really was an amazing wedding, filled with love and lots of laughter, which we were lucky enough to be part of! 🥰

When enquires pops into my inbox from lovely couples they are often addressed to Betty and this always make me smile.🥰 For those of you that don't know me I'm Helen, not Betty but my business is called Betty Loves Vintage confusing right?! When I started creating my business I realised that it was very personal to me and I wanted a name for it that had a special meaning. So my business is named after one of my Nans. My Nans although coming from very different backgrounds were both amazingly strong, hard working women and they both inspired me so much while I was growing up. I loved both of them and both of their names equally, they both fit my business well so it was a tough choice, so I took to google to check if there were other businesses with similar names. It turned out at the time there was a porn star called Queenie Vintage 🙊 who ranked top on Google, so I decided on Betty. Some of the vintage props and crockery in my hire collection belonged to Queenie so I like to think that they are both involved. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When couples say Hi Betty, I love being able to share a part of my story with them.🥰
