Second Christmas event completed ✅

Thank you to everyone that came to our Christmas Craft Workshop today. As well as eating mountains of food and cake, (washed down with fully loaded hot chocolate) everyone had the chance to try book art, make a Christmas Card, make an Xmas Gnome and pinecone Santa. It was a lovely atmosphere with now new friends.

Thank you to our wonderful volunteers (Janet, Tracy, Lesley and Marie) for giving up their time to make the event possible.

Don't forget about our Community Litter Pick tomorrow at 2pm. Meet outside the Community Centre and you'll be issued with your equipment. Collect litter for as little or long as you want before returning for free refreshments and a chance to chat with other community minded people.

Just turn up, no booking required.

Santa and his elves will be back at the Community Centre on Friday 13th December. Book your children in for our magical workshop which includes craft activities, decorating biscuits, drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows, seeing the Santa and receiving a gift and making reindeer food.

Our first Community Craft Club session on Monday was a huge success. The room was a hive of activity with 10 ladies all working on different projects. There was card making, knitting, embroidery, macrame to name just a few of the crafts.

**Community Craft Club - starting next week (Monday 11th November, 7.15pm to 8.45pm)**

Do you like crafting? Do you have trouble finding time to craft? Do you have half finished projects or crafts you would like to try to finish? If you answered yes to any of these then this could be the club for you!

Join us every Monday at Valley Park Community Centre from 7.15pm-8.45pm to chat and craft.

Bring your own craft project - knitting, crotchet, crystal art, needle felting, cross stitch (anything portable really) and enjoy light refreshments and a chat with like minded people.

Thank you to Keith Douglas, a volunteer with Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. He joined us at the Community Kettle on Tuesday and gave us a fascinating talk on the work carried out by this fantastic charity; a charity that once saved his life!
