This Fringe, Nothing Ever Happens Here presents: An Evening of Joy with Francis Daulerio, Kris Drever, Louis Abbott and special guests!

Francis Daulerio is a poet and teacher from Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. Returning to Edinburgh in support of his newest collection of poetry, Francis Daulerio is bringing his collaborative An Evening of Joy series to Summerhall. With special guests Louis Abbott (Admiral Fallow), Kris Drever (Lau), Laurie Cameron and more, come celebrate the bits of life worth living and the losses that bring us together in a blending of music and poetry that Bon Iver’s Sean Carey called “relentlessly hopeful.”

With their signature blend of fiddle, accordion, driving percussion, and mesmerizing vocals, they create an atmosphere where everyone, young and old, can have an incredible time. 🎻🎵🌍

🎺 Shunpike Social Club: This dynamic collective of over 30 talented musicians breathe life into Cumbia, Brazilian, and Cuban music, infusing it with the flair of a big band. Run by Edinburgh's Oi Musica, they bring the spirit of celebration to parties and street festivals throughout the city. Their non-formal, joyful approach to music-making provides opportunities for players at all stages to join in the fun. 🎷🎶🎉
