Wave Station is all about bringing you underground sounds in a basement lounge. The Bunker, situated in the heart of the capital tucked away just under Leith Street has you covered for your late night libations whilst we bring the noise with local DJs spinning tunes to kick off your weekend.

Expect an eclectic range of bass licks n kicks from acid house to uk garage, breakbeat to dnb and no doubt a few musical tangents along the way.

With only 100 capacity in the venue, you can grab yourself a seat at a table or the bar, or get involved with the tunes on the cosy dancefloor if you know what’s good for you…

Open decks from 9pm-midnight for any DJs up for a casual spin on some solid equipment (pioneer xdj-xz). The music policy is not strict but tunes need to be suitable for the environment so come prepared, bring your own headphones and enjoy 👌

Incoming! We are pleased to welcome this weeks guest: Siskin

has been around the Edinburgh scene for a few years now. He runs the local party as well as based in north England. Siskin has supported a range of heavyweight genre spanning artists such as Interplanetary Criminal, Sammy Virji, Breaka, DJ Q, LSB, AC13, Bou and many more whilst bringing a mix of everything from house and garage to footwork and jungle to the dancefloor 🔊

Buzzin to see what flavours he brings to for his 2 hour set.

Warming up the wheelies will be resident Al-Gu making a return bringing her eclectic mix of bouncy beats n breaks.

Wave Station returns this Friday and we are very pleased to welcome to the decks for a 2 hour set 🔊🔊

Pete has been doing bits in the local circuit for more than a minute having launched back in 2017 which has been a consistent hub for all your bass music needs and many a sound c**t to be found on the decks and in the crowd. So make sure keep an eye out for future Metropolis parties including a guaranteed upcoming skelper with masked dnb bandits making the trip to the capital 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

With countless club sets and radio mixes under his belt, Pete certainly knows his way around the decks so you can be assured that when he touches down at it will be vibes on vibes.   Joining Prolifix on Friday will be Wave Station ressies BC & .audio getting things warmed up good and proper.   Don’t forget, open decks from 9pm-11pm if you fancy a casual mix. All you gotta do is turn up and turn up!

Here we go again 🌊 This Friday we have two local DJs joining forces for the guest set who will be bringing everything from uk garage, grime, breaks and dnb.

Dave Angelo Valdez (DAV) is an up and coming DJ based in Edinburgh. With a growing number of club sets behind him including at Bongos, Mash and Sneakys, DAV is adept in mixing through the genres to keep the party moving and frequencies rising.

Sam Mellis aka "i fell in love with glizzies" is known for cooking up a delicious fusion of UK garage and grime with a distinct London flavour. His USB is packed with the very best of Bakey, Main Phase, Oldboy, D Double E, and Novelist that will have you bouncing all night long.

Joining them on the night will be Wave Station head honcho BC warming up the wheels with the usual blend of bassy numbers.

As usual the open decks will be hosted 9pm-11pm and is open for anyone wanting to spin some tunes in a casual but live environment. Just bring a usb with some good tunes. The decks we have are Pioneer XDJ XZ so rekordbox formatted usb is the best way to go.

This week we are pleased to welcome .dj as our special guest 🎧

Caitlin aka Rodent is a multi genre DJ from Edinburgh who mainly specialises in drum & bass, jungle, tek and core music. She started to learn how to mix in 2018, back then primarily playing underground raves across the city; then shifted to playing clubs post-pandemic in 2021. Since then she’s played various popular nights and events including Midnight Bass and Junglism Summer Skank out, and recently has supported the likes of Aphrodite and DJ Kamikaze.

In April 2021, Rodent launched her club night .edi with a friend, which has already shown a lot of success. Alien Disko is all about bringing underground rave music and culture to Edinburgh’s nightlife, showcasing both local and well-known selectors in the scene.

For this event Rodent will be bringing early hour rave vibes ranging from 140, funky breaks, dnb, 4x4, jungle (and everything in between!). Expect the odd uptempo slammer thrown in too! 👌

As usual the open decks will be hosted 9pm-11pm and is open for anyone wanting to spin some tunes in a casual but live environment. Just bring a usb with some good tunes. The decks we have are Pioneer XDJ XZ so rekordbox formatted usb is the best way to go.

INCOMING 🎤🔥
We are very excited to announce that will be joining us on Friday 2nd December for a very special show alongside a stellar line up of local support in celebration of his album launch ‘WSPSNSYRP’. This is a homecoming show for Tzusan as he’s now based in Brighton so let’s make sure it’s a banger for him 🧨

Proceedings will be kicking off from 7pm with pucka live performances from the get go with vocal support from , 2T () and 👌

Plus DJs , and wave station residents will be bringing additional noise all the way through til 3am 🔊

Advance tickets are available for this right now via RA (link in bio) and since it’s very limited capacity with our intimate venue we recommend you get booked in asap!

This will be the first event of this kind for wave station to be hosting (but not the last) and we are buzzing to see what happens.

This weekend we are going on a journey through time, space and bass as we go wax to the future…

We are very pleased to welcome the crew who will be bringing their extensive collection of records for their special guest set 👌very excited to get some wax played out for the first time at Wave Station!

Expect plenty of old-skool cuts from breakbeat, garage, hardcore, jungle and dnb as our DJs explore the era defining sounds that have shaped the electronic music scene today

As a halloween weekend special we encourage retro fancy dress for this one 😎

No need for a ticket, just turn up on the door. It will be £4.50 otd (£1 more than usual in order to cover cost of renting the turntables) with 50p going to charity.

Open decks are on from 9pm-11pm as usual and it’s free entry before 11pm.

Should be a fun night so if your looking for some quality tunes and chance to dance in a casual environment then get down to this Friday!

Guest announcement for this Friday 📣 🌊

As we have just hit 140 followers on this page, it seems very fitting that our next guest will be paying particular focus to the realm of dub, dubstep and all things 140bpm.

We are very pleased to welcome Noode .noodle to the decks for the usual 2 hour local guest showcase.

Noodle is based between Edinburgh and London and draws influences from the eclectic music communities she has been involved with from Leeds to Shanghai. She is a resident DJ in local wave makers and party starters and an organiser of the recent festival in Leith which definitely made a splash for the heads who made it down.

Typically she would describe her sets as ‘acidy, sparkly and trancey’ but for her appearance with us this Friday she’ll be bringing her favourite cuts of 140 and dub. Although you can bet that there will be a few twists and turns as she meanders through the bass waves🏄‍♀️

We love a bit of 140 so this one’s gonna be fun for sure 👌
