January walks through Dean Village, just a short stroll from The Bonham and Drumsheugh Gardens ... feels like stepping back in time, with its cobbled streets and charming old buildings.

It was once a bustling grain milling hub dating back to the 12th century and takes its name from the Scots word "dene," meaning a deep valley. Now, the quaint stone cottages are remnants of its industrious past (by the 19th century, Dean Village fell into decline, but it was later revived and transformed into a tranquil residential area.)
