On Saturday we had the pleasure of catering for 23 guests for a 40th Birthday celebration. Our clients, Joelle and Murray, were an absolute delight to work with (table decoration credit goes to our lovely client Joelle - it was just too beautiful not to post here). The event was a huge success - and our biggest event to date! 🥳

Our clients decided on the Gourmet menu for their event. A selection of canapés were followed by a Mussel Velouté amuse bouche, a pan fried scallop starter with pear, and the main course was duck breast served with gratin dauphinois & caramalised apples. A lemon tarte and a beautiful cheese board, provided by Cheesee peasee- fromagerie, finished off the lunch.

Our amazing servers, William & Ernesta, provided ‘first-class service’ and made some beautiful cocktails for the guests after the meal.

The feedback has been fantastic:

‘’The food was utterly exceptional and everyone was raving about it! Clément is a very talented chef and incredibly cool and calm in the kitchen! William and Ernesta were also absolutely brilliant – everything was so professional and everyone was so well looked after it was certainly a birthday Murray will never forget.’’

We couldn’t ask for a better event! Such fantastic clients to work for and a wonderful day had by all.

Wild prawns fresh from Welch Fishmongers in Edinburgh, sautéed with garlic, chilli, red onion, thyme & coriander. Served on toasted ciabatta. Simple and delicious.

The Edinburgh weather kept us inside today, but even more reason to cook up a special dish for my guests.

Today our specialty was monkfish fried in butter on a bed of saffron and chorizo risotto. Many more treats before and after, but thought I’d share the main event. A soul warming dish enjoyed with pouilly-fumé.
