The Pipers toast is an age old Scottish tradition where the piper has the honour of offering the bride and groom the first toast as a married couple with a wee dram before piping out the room. It always makes for a great feature on the wedding day as each piper has his own way of performing this ceremony. Wedding Fair set-up
Setting up for yesterdays Wedding Fair at the Macdonald Marine Hotel & Spa. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and many thanks to all the couples who chatted with me about their forthcoming weddings. I was delighted with the reaction to my new sample albums, too, everyone who looked through them said they've never seen an album as beautiful or impressive!
One of my favourite moments in Humanist wedding ceremonies is the ancient Celtic tradition of handfasting which gives us the term 'tying the knot', not only is it rich in history and meaning but it adds great colour and sparkle to the ceremony, too.
