Known as ‘Mama’ to the Cubans, Piera founded Latin Explosion in 1999 and is known as one of the original Salsa event organisers and promoters in the whole of Scotland.

Opened the first weekly, Saturday Salsa Club in Scotland . Piera has danced with the best, learned from the best and surprised the best with her fun and dynamic style .Dancing since 1997, UKA Quaified 2001 to teach

club salsa, with her teaching, you are guaranteed to move like a Cuban! Romina Vessella has danced and choreographed in 3 Edinburgh Fringe festival shows. She was trained by the 3 times world Champions Yanet Fuentes and Rafael! (Lady Salsa Stars) She is UKA qualified and 2 time UK Salsa Champion herself , educated in Sports Coach & Psychology. Over the past 20 years the longest school standing with an eye for talent she has produced teachers and dancers to what is now Edinburgh Cuban Salsa Scene as you know it.
