Green Field Marquees was established in 2004 to service the Marquee Hire and Events industry all over Scotland, operating from Edinburgh & Glasgow. We provide a personal service and realise that each event has its own needs. We therefore aim to make sure that the marquee hire is perfect for each customer, ideally tailoring it to their every need.

We don’t do Black Friday, BUT we still have some limited availability for weddings in 2025 and 2026.

We limit how many weddings we do so that we can put all of our effort required into each unique job.

Our clients request varies between each site. In the Meadows and Bristo Square, our focus is on building accessible, bright and fun bars to entertain Fringe goers between shows.

Our clients request varies between each site. In George Square Gardens our focus is on safety, functionality and weather proofing.

Behind the scenes we build a maze of connecting corridors, changing rooms and back stage tents to assist with their main venue. We even have a marquee clad in purple stained wooden sheeting to create a mini venue!

2024, SHUCK OFF!

Our friends in Stranraer hosted the annual Oyster Shucking competition, which is worth watching back on BBC iPlayer - Countryfile from 13th October 2024.

2024. A fantastic annual event which saw 24,000 visitors and brought in over £2.4 million to the local area.

We helped our clients celebrate Britains last remaining wild, native oyster bed by building them a venue on the shore of Loch Ryan. This required a variety of marquee sizes and specifications which our team pulled off, despite some challenging weather during the build.

We built a venue to host 500 for dinner, and then a dance floor worthy of celebrating 150 years.

We created this boujee space for a VIP’s 40th birthday celebrations.

The ground was so undulating, the whole structure was built on a raised platform at ground level on one side, and 3 metres above ground on the other.
