⭐️ 🎄 C O M P E T I T I O N TIME 🎄 ⭐️

Calling all Nurseries across Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Those cheeky elves are back again creating Christmassy mischief and havoc across homes and nursery settings around Scotland.

And guess what? Little Lunches HQ is no different. We have our very own mischievous elf who gets up to all sorts of silly things when we leave work for the day!

Our elf is a little unique though…. Her name is Heidi and she is a “HEALTHY ELF”!!!

What on earth does this mean?!

Well, it means that the mischief Healthy Elf Heidi gets up to when all our staff have gone home for the day is ALWAYS related to healthy foods. She NEVER plays with anything sugary! We only ever catch her messing around with foods and doing activities that help you to grow big and strong! 💪🏽 😊

We think Santa must know that here at Little Lunches we are all about helping our little ones to learn to love exploring foods that help us to grow into healthy grown-ups, hence why he chose Heidi Elf to come to us!

SO, where do you all come in….?

Heidi Elf has set a challenge for all your nursery elves to see who can come up with the BESTEST, most FUNNIEST mischief which promotes healthy eating. She is challenging your elf on the shelf to turn into a Healthy Elfy for at least one day! Or more days if they can!

Every photo sent from your nursery to Heidi Elf at Little Lunches HQ will be x1 entry to our FREE PRIZE DRAW to win a free Healthy Fruit and Veg basket in the new year. With other certificates and awards for Heidi’s favourite entries too!!

Halloween has gone “healthy” this year in our house…. Except for the big bag of sweets that the banana brought home from his guising jaunt around the village!! Ah well, once a year…..!

Wishing all our little ghosts and ghouls a Spooktakular Halloween 👻 🕷️ 🎃 🧙 🦇

Word on the (trick or treating) street is that our special spooky lunch menu went down well with the little and big ghosts and ghouls alike!

We just LOVE it when we have the chance to sprinkle our meals with an extra dose of fun! 🙌🏽 😃

Simple edits to incorporate Halloween colours and shapes can often have such a BIG impact for little ones. Even better when we can include a new vegetable that we don’t usually have on our regular menu. 🎃 ⭐️

I have been that frazzled midweek mum tonight juggling work, dogs walks, school pick-ups and everything else with trying to put a healthy dinner together and still make it to gymnastics drop-off on time…. Familiar much? 😂🙈

But I just have to quickly share a little moment with you all that was this evening’s jolt to remind me why I do what I do and why it does matter….

🌶️ Me: “WOW Harris, you’ve done brilliantly with your tea tonight!”

🥦 Harris: “the only reason I’ve done so brilliantly with my dinner tonight is because you have done brilliantly making it so yummy for me”

My heart literally melted ♥️

The words of our boy who has been the absolute inspiration for Little Lunches. Our boy who once upon a time only ate chicken nuggets, strawberries, raspberries and cheese sandwiches. (And I mean ONLY, for ages and ages)!

Mums. Dads. Carers. Nursery Practitioners. There is light at the end of every tunnel.

Autumn Winter 2024-25 is no exception. Team Little Lunches have been working super hard behind the scenes to bring your new menu to launch and the countdown is now ON!

Team LL have been on location today with Scottish Outdoor Learning Association at Practitioner Fest. And what a brilliant day it was! And we get to do it all over again tomorrow 😊.

Great to see some of our nursery partners there, meet lots of new nurseries and fab suppliers too.
