Two years ago we welcomed Olympic gold medal winner Dame Katherine Grainger and former Scotland rugby captain Rob Wainwright plus a star-studded line up of rowers for the flagship event of Doddie Aid 2023.

Former Scotland internationals Jim Hamilton, Chris Paterson, Scott Hastings and Roger Baird, as well as television stars Louise Minchin, Jennifer Reoch, and Dougie Vipond, plus adventurers Mark Beaumont, and Jasmine Harrison, all of whom backed the cause to raise as much money as possible for MND research in memory of the Scotland rugby legend and MND campaigner Doddie Weir, who died in November 2022 at the age of 52. His three sons also joined the event, making up one of eight teams aiming to row the furthest distance in three hours!
