🌌 Northern Lights Alert! 🌌

Exciting news for all aurora enthusiasts! We've got some solar activity brewing that could bring the northern lights our way soon. Here's what you need to know:

🕒 When?
The next possible dates to catch the northern lights are from August 18th to 22nd. But, heads up! The moon will be almost full, which means it’ll be super bright and might make it harder to see the auroras. As we get closer to the end of August, the moonlight will fade, giving us a better chance to see those beautiful lights dance across the sky! See the screen shot below for estimated days and predicted strengths.

🌞 What’s Causing This?
We’ve just had an X1.11 Solar Flare (that’s a big one!) which could lead to some strong geomagnetic storms. If these storms are strong enough, we could see auroras even further south than usual!

Remember, the bigger the negative number the stronger the Northern Lights are expected to be!

NEW PLANET DISCOVERED 🌍

🌌 What if humans have already made it to another planet?

🤔 This intriguing question inspired my Final Photography Project at Nottingham Trent University. NOT ALONE Imagines intelligent life out there, not so different from what we have here on Earth! 🚀

As AI becomes a bigger part of our daily lives, my project is a unique blend of AI and photography. Inspired by the fascinating Netflix documentary "My Octopus Teacher" 🐙 (highly recommend watching it!) and the wild hypothesis like Panspermia suggesting octopuses might have cosmic origins, I wanted to create a world that's both familiar and wonderfully strange.

👨‍🎓 Today I found out that I will be graduating from Nottingham Trent University next month with a 1st Class Honours.

It’s been a really difficult year, juggling full time education 450 miles away from a full time job, trying to grow my wee business Pixels Photo Entertainment and of course, trying to maintain family life, Natalie Bain with 2 young children.

I lived in a tent when I was in Nottingham, which blew away in November and had to be replaced, spent most of January as an ice cube, and ate boil in the bag food more often than not (yeah I actually don’t mind it 🤣) not to mention the miles I put on the family car.

And I’d do it all again. I wouldn’t recommend doing it this way, but I wouldn’t change it.

Relieved it’s over, but gutted it’s over. It’s been an incredible experience.
