There is a wee change happening at Elmore. Luke is leaving us... He is thankfully not going to the dark side and will be managing another rewilding project not far from us. Which makes this all not so bad 💚
Luke has been a key member of Team E for over 6 years and has been an absolute legend. We are going to miss him a lot.

He has managed the grounds and gardens at the Court, brought us our first harvest, and working with the owner, , has introduced our mighty herd of Long Horn Cattle and been a key player in our Rewilding journey and so much more.

Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Luke knows his passion for gardening & sustainability, his charming and sometimes dodgy wit and how hard he works...

He is truly dear to us.

We wish him all the best with the next adventure.

Hello Autumn 🧡 An exciting Season indeed... as many of you will know is a huge factor of what we do here at and a large portion of our Sustainability journey.
We thought, why not welcome a new month with a reminder of some of our other commitments to our planet, and of our future plans for improvement:

🔥Our house & water heating is carbon neutral! By growing wood on the estate which is the fuel for our biomass boiler, the amount of carbon dioxide emitted from burning it is the same as the carbon absorbed by the growing tree.
💡We use 100% renewable energy for all other utilities from local green energy company .
🌿We have given back 412 acres of land to nature for rewilding.
🏡 Our ‘future-rustic’ reception venue The Gillyflower was built from Earth & timber from the estate and has a meadow roof.
🛏 We’ve built 6 sustainable treehouses that look out onto our Wetlands & rewilding land to help inspire but to also relax and recharge.
🍽 We are growing more and more of our ingredients in-house in the walled garden, our bread is baked with flour which is also grown on The Estate.
🚘 we are calculating the carbon footprint of all who travel to and from the court and offsetting this.
🌍 By using the land differently we are measuring carbon sequestration and using that balance to absorb harm (from transport, business activities, waste etc)
✨By creating an environment where it’s clear and apparent that things can be done differently, whilst still being fun, delicious & beautiful we hope that people will be pollinated with inspiration and go away knowing that things can and should be different.

This is a way of life for us, and we enjoy every moment of the journey and the challenge. 🙏🌍✨🤍

It’s National Healthy Skin Day 😊 (was that planned the day after Halloween to recover from the face paint?!) So we’ve invited @jessicarose.makeupartist over to share her top bridal prep tips for glowing wedding ready skin. Here’s her skin wisdom! 🏃‍♀️6 Months Before your wedding: Exercise plays a big part in skin health, if you don’t already now is the perfect time to start, Even with some brisk walks. Getting outdoors is also a great way to get some Vitamin D which your skin will thank you for (just remember your SPF!) Now is time to implement a solid skincare routine. It doesn’t have to be complicated, consistency is key. 🧖‍♀️ 3 Months before your wedding: Ensure you are washing your face with a flannel twice a day, removing makeup properly and exfoliating twice a week. Finish by hydrating your skin. I’m a big fan of skincare with cruelty free and natural ingredients; my new skincare range contains rose in various forms as the main ingredient as it’s known for its hydrating and soothing properties. Booking a couple of hydra facials around this time is a good idea for your skin and your relaxation in the lead up to your wedding day. 🛌 2 Weeks Before your wedding: Try to get earlier nights and reduce your stress levels as well as continuing your existing skincare routine- Now is not the time to introduce new products… If you want to use at home face masks look for words like soothing, hydrating and plumping - if avoid deep extracting masks at this point. Now is also a good time to make conscious food choices, foods that contain vitamin C are great for your skin, but essentially look to be eating lots of nourishing whole foods. Cutting back a bit on caffeine is a good idea too. Caffeine and sugar are both dehydrating. 👰‍♀️The Night Before/ your wedding day: Drink plenty of water and be sure to hydrate your skin and lips. If you have any break outs don’t panic! And definitely don’t pick or squeeze spots. Ice any

Kat was running a wedding and Gary was the photographer, their eyes met and the rest is history. Sounds like the script of a modern rom com, but it's true, and we are loving watching their journey unfold! An unusual wedding venue

Elmore Court is run by a warm and friendly team who like to do things a bit differently... Part historic stately home, part ecologically sound, and entirely soundproof party venue, it’s a very special place for very special weddings and events with a touch of festival magic.

In 2013 owner Anselm opened the doors of his family home for weddings and events for the first time in 750 years. The Gillyflower pictured above (Thanks to the star photographer Eve Dunlop) was created especially for late night parties and receptions. Built out of earth from the grounds, and timber from the estate in a sustainable and soundproof way, it’s been enjoyed by many happy couples leaving gushing 5 star reviews, and has won a RIBA award for it’s future-rustic architecture.

This year further renovations were undertaken on the house to create a total of 16 guest bedrooms, as well as totally separate ‘bridal prep pad’ The Coach House for the ultimate in pre-wedding relaxation. The Coach House has proven to be so popular it is now added as standard to all bookings for the night before the wedding.
