School is almost starting and I want to ask you a favor… Sit with your child for 5 minutes and explain that there’s never a reason to make fun of someone for their height, their weight, their skin tone, their home life or the things they enjoy.

Explain there’s nothing wrong with wearing the same shoes every day.
Explain to them that a used backpack carries the same dreams as a new one.
Teach them not to exclude anyone for "being different"
Explain to them that teasing hurts and that school is for going to LEARN, NOT to compete or spread negativity.

Remind them some kids don’t go home to loving families so it’s important to be kind. It all starts at home!

A super busy, super exhausting weekend in Maldon and not one photo of anything except my little stall, looking very much ‘sold out’!

Happy to be supporting one of our local schools at their summer fete this year by donating my time for free to their fundraising . I’ll be painting at this Saturday and 100% of monies raised will go back to the school 😃

You may or may not know, but as well as painting faces I also keep bees 🐝 They are amazing, industrious little characters but it’s a tough time for them at the moment.

If you see a bee of any description on the floor or not flying other than on a flowering plant, it is STARVING!

PLEASE HELP THEM 🙏

We are currently well into the 'June Gap' - the time between when the Spring flowering plants stop and the Autumn flowers start producing pollen and nectar.

You can help by mixing two parts sugar to one part water and offering the syrup to the bee. She (and they are mostly ladies) will happily drink from a teaspoon. You'll see her little black tongue as she drinks. It will take about 10 minutes for her to convert the syrup to energy, but she will fly away if you've helped her in time. The feeling you get on seeing her recovery and flight is well worth your time.

PLEASE NOTE - This is a temporary measure and 'First Aid' only. The Bees need diversity in their diet and need to pollinate plants in their search for food. NO HONEY PLEASE - Disease can be spread easily from colony to colony through this practice

** BLINK ** and it’s Monday again!

This weekend I have :

✨ done a glitter bar for a 21st birthday
🐔 painted at a birthday party in a farm
🌳 created henna at a woodland wedding
☀️ baked for 4 hours painting in Norwich UEA
🎶 survived painting tweens at a Taylor Swift tribute event (still slight whistling in my ears from all the screaming tho)

Being a face painter sure can be demanding during high season - I don’t think I have a muscle on my body that doesn’t ache this morning. But painting on smiles like this little lady’s reminds me how lucky I am to do what I LOVE ❤️
