Little Thetford Feast

SAVE THE DATE: SAT 26TH OCT. The Feast and SSC are bringing you the Little Thetford Auction! David Palmer from Bargain Hunt will be your auctioneer for the night. This is a 50/50 auction. The Feast gets 50% of the proceeds and the person who donated keeps the other 50%. We are looking for good quality items, furniture, boxes of bric a brac, vintage clothing etc. No electrical items and no livestock. We considered no family members as a rule but if that family member is happy to auction off a service then we won't say no 😄. If anyone feels they can donate some dog walking time, fixing a leaking tap, help with ironing etc these will all be welcomed to be auctioned off on the night. The bar will be open, we are sure there will be fun and amusement and a chance to meet David Palmer himself. Please start thinking now about your hidden treasures and help us to make this new event a success!!

Following on from our previous post about the Twenty’s Plenty initiative. We now have the posters available for residents to collect. They have fully adhesive backs so can be applied to bins, fences, boards etc wherever you like as long as it’s your property to do so.
They will be available to collect from the following locations:
Coffee Morning tomorrow (Monday 5th August). Jane Dunseath has some and they will be an available at the Art and Craft Weekend.
Please comment below if you would like one and cannot get to these locations, we will deliver them to you.

Special Thank You to all of these people for helping at this years Feast.
Raffle Prize Donations:

Help on the day:
Mandy Richards, Barbara Fletcher, Jill and Paul Norman, Phil Mansfield. Classic Vehicles from Tom Neat, David Claxton, David and Thomas Allen, Tony Shaw. BBQ team - Gys, Hilary and The Mickleburgh's ,The families of the Feast committee run games, Team Raffle lead by Donna Garner. And Alan Oxbury for his Gazebo, Hang Tough and general running around in his van. The Refreshments team for their help in the Hall and supplying cakes to sell. Rosie for being DJ, Steph and Curtis for letting us borrow hay bales for seating. The Sports and Social Club for opening up early and allowing stalls into the garden.

This is a massive Community event which could not happen without your help and generosity.

The Feast Committee would like to thank everyone who has helped to put on our annual event, we have two more volunteers but this is most of the gang.
After a windy start the weather was kind to us and the sun shone.

We raised over £2100 🌟🌟🌟🌟

So many helpers from baking cakes, donating raffle prizes, putting up gazebos, running a competition, donating bottles for the Tombola, supplying hay bales , being the DJ, and the classic cars were enjoyed by many.

A thank you post will come out later today.

Ely foodbank are running desperately low on funds and pretty much most other items. Therefore the Feast will have a collection point near the raffle on Saturday if anyone can spare anything to help this worthwhile cause 🙏 Food, toiletries, hygiene products all very welcome

The weather is looking to be fine this Saturday for our annual Feast.
Our stall holders are raring to go with interesting and hand made items for sale. The Tombola collection was a massive success- thank you to everyone who donated. The raffle prizes are impressive as ever. The fire engine and the tractor are being cleaned and polished ready. And the BBQ will be sizzling away.
Remember all feast funds benefit the residents of this village.

Saturday 8th June.

We also have the regular feast stalls including BBQ, DJ, Games, Tug of war, Egg catching, Snail racing, Teas and Coffees, Bar, Tombola, Raffle, Bouncy Castle. Little Thetford Acorns and Little Thetford Eagles.
It’s looking like a bumper Feast with many interesting stalls and charities showing how they work and support animals and local people.

REMINDER: The Feast will be doing the bottle collection from 10am tomorrow. If you don’t want us to knock, please leave your bottle outside before then. Some dryer weather would also be appreciated so please keep your fingers crossed for us! Thank you as always 😊
