Was lovely to photograph a wedding within walking distance from home today at St George's Church Littleport ❤️ what a huge contrast with the lovely new (ish) Vicar; I remember the days of bridal parties treading on egg shells in there or just laughing about being told off 😂 we all got a lovely warm welcome today and a lovely wedding ceremony that included the children. Id recommend it for a wedding; not just because the latest vicars great, it also saves my time and petrol 👀😁 the Church is looking good as well ❤️

Always nice to photograph a beautiful wedding with a cool couple and guests ❤️ I’ve a feeling it’s gonna be quite a party as the evening goes on 🕺

Well done, GCSE Leavers 🙏 You were amazing at proms this year—fun, friendly, and polite. That gets noticed before any results 👍

Now it’s time to choose where you want to go, what you want to do, and who you want to do it with🕺 I think that’s so much better than being controlled and compared at school. Before long, you won’t even notice what trainers other people are wearing 😮😁

Don’t buy into that old saying, “school is the best days of your life.” That line must have started back in the days of WW2! Thankfully and very gratefully now leaving school means the start of real fun 💯

New Phone Photo comparison.

That’s it really, so If you don’t want to read my long-winded thoughts, please stop reading now and go party👍Or if you’re bored, a little bit geeky or something here's my thoughts today.

A photog mate recently told me how great this new phone camera is, my phone broke so I got one. The brand and model doesn’t matter, it used to be 'is digital better than film?' now it’s 'are pro cameras as good as phones?' 😂

The phone's camera is Great, but they all are now, so it begs the question do you need a pro photog anymore? nope, you never have done, you need a proper Fenman providing essential food, not just fancy photos, I've always just been a luxury, nothing else.

I see it kinda like this. I cook an alright bolognese, you’re welcome round to try if you’d like 👍 but is it what Gino could cook in my kitchen or especially his own kitchen? no. do we need him? no. we need farmers not a fancy chef, but him cooking for us would still be awesome, the same as any nice restaurant is a lovely treat.

With phones being so amazing now, It got me thinking about what would I get if I take a standard type pic on the phone as it comes out of the box. Then change the phone's settings to what I prefer, turn a bit to the composition I prefer and take the pic, then edit it to what I see not what the camera captures. no filters, just my edit and compare the results.

Here’s what I got.

Is it the best shot I could get from that area? no to do that I’d need to choose the best time, and weather and get into the best spot, I’d be mega fanatical about it, editing this one on the pc would have been better than what I can do on a phone as well. this was just because today I needed Sun, Sea and Fish and Chips, I didnt quite get all of that, but took a few test shots whilst there.

The phone is actually quite nice, it's incredible really, do I need a top of the range camera phone? no, I'll take a pic with anything, just like my old car gets me from A to B the same as a supercar would. but I had to get a new phone anyway so go this one with baring in mind what I do for a living.

Take lots of lovely pics for yourselves ❤️ it’s all about taking a pic that you like or capturing a lovely moment in time. Nothing to do with being a pro, camera brand, megapixels or any other anorak type stuff, it's not even about photo quality, it's about quality time that you capture 👍

Do you need me? No, save your money for essential food and drink. But hopefully I’m still a nice luxury now and then 😎

Do I need a drink? Yes, it's been a long day.

Happy New Year 😁 All The Best for 2024 🙏

Thought I'd start off the new year with a photography tip/idea 💡

On your phone, they're great for the low angles needed for a dog, saves getting on ones knee in the wet or getting a pro camera wet. This is just a nice photo to take, not a portfolio piece or you could do if you really wanted. I just wanted a nice stroll.

Use the water for reflections, they usually enhance a pic 👍
Use creative cropping to look like your in the everglades 👍
Most of all put on ya welly boots and enjoy the time out ❤️

With coco being a veteran we just have a leisurely stroll, but if your dogs a wild one you might wanna try running through the puddles pics ❤️

Very pleased to be back again last night, couldn't wish for a nicer, politer amazingly dressed group of fun people to photograph. Much respect to all the parents, teachers and students.

Everyone posed beautifully at the studio, proms are more like a fashion shoot these days 🙂

Was very pleased to have one of the region's best wedding photographers Lyndsey Anne Challis with us last night, who took the best and most arrivals, roaming and dance photos that have ever been taken at Ely prom. Thank you very much 🙂

Portraits 2023 ❤️
Here's a pic I wanted to create after buying this top im the Fatface sale 😁
Typically I'm booked for standard portraits, not so much the creative ones i like to take of my daughter. I'm not sure why? 🤔
But so you all know I'm keem to take any creative portraits you'd like, you can see the different pics I take of my supermodel daughter on here or Instagram. If any style takes your fancy, let me know 👍
Sometimes they take a little more planning than standard studio portraits, but i love how they then look different to anyone else's photos ❤️ and they're usually a more fun photoshoot for the model capturing their personality 😁

Bye Bye 2022 🏁 to be honest, it's been a really harsh year at the Scott's 😩 but a reminder of how lucky we are to be surrounded by lovely supportive caring family and friends ❤️

And looking back it seems I've been rewarded at work... 😁

When photographing people the most important thing for me isn't what equipment I'm using, anything technical or location. It's all about capturing someone's personality and how they feel. so when you look back on your photos the feeling comes back to you ❤️

Essential photography tip for everyone 💡

Take photos of the moments you'll want to remember when the people you love are no longer with you 🙏 It's easy to take for granted what we have, we just assume these moments last forever, but they don't 😭

The pics you'll want to look back on probably wont be your hottie selfies or your biggest todger pics 🤷🏼‍♂️

The photos don't need to be posed, they just need to show moments worth remembering ❤️

Work pics are great with being a big part of everyones life, really doesn't matter what you do for a living, its just about capturing your life for people to remember you by. We all have funny work stories that your close ones love to hear, trying capturing some of them 👍

Even just a food shop, it's something couples often do together and really miss when they can't. Take a snap when a loved one is putting something in the trolley you like or even some rubbish they don't need 😂

Maybe a cuppa tea in bed together in the morning, when you can't do that anymore you might just like photos to remember those precious times 🍵

A quick pic when seeing your grandparents or parents, it might be a normal regular visit now, but when you can't see them anymore, the photos will mean so much to you ❤️

You're hopefully pleased to see each other when you come home from work. That moment is so lovely and well worth capturing 😍

Also without being to deep and all inspirational, Live the life you want to capture and remember 👍 it probably won't be the materialistic things or watching TV, but I'm sure you'll all always cherish quality time with loved ones.

Imagine what pics you'd like to see if you had family pics of great grandparents who you'd never even met 😮

I feel absolutely flipping great when I capture lovely moments for people, especially if you look at the photos remembering the time feeling the special moment. Even more especially if you look at yourself knowing you look amazing ❤️ its not my photography, even though I strive to be the best, quite possibly am the best 😎😂 but its not my camera or training, its because you're enjoying that moment in time, I just like to capture that moment at its best, that makes me feel good, often fantastic ❤️

Hopefully this helps with your own ideas capturing the lovely moments in your life 😁

I took over ten thousand pics this year at different types of schools & colleges, every student was very polite and looking good ❤️ I couldn't have wished for better people to photograph 💯

Some people might think kids are hooligans these days 😂 ironically they're usually the people who're hardest to photograph for me 🤷🏼‍♂️

The first virtual wedding in metaverse 'Decentraland'

2000 Guests virtually at Rose Law Group’s estate in Decentraland
and a Supreme Court Justice official.

Recorded on the blockchain as an NFT, that's actually really neat, I'm sure won't be long before all weddings are recorded that way, so much more advanced than an old logbook.

The actual virtual part of the wedding seems a shame when what I love about weddings is people being together.

Virtual weddings aren't sounding great for my wedding photography, unless I could just attend virtually myself and take screenshots. or maybe with me being so young, cool, woke, techy and all that, maybe I could be a virtual wedding setter-upper :-)

It's kinda shocking it's the way the worlds becoming. but there are plenty of metaverse projects with 'Decentraland' being the biggest with currently over a 4 Billion GBP Market cap with lots of jobs for people earning money purely in a virtual world.

I know I'll look back on this post in so many years and metaverse weddings, concerts, functions will all be normal everyday life just like Facebook is now.

But until then, please keep booking me for all of your weddings and events so we can all enjoy the day in person capturing great pics to look back on.
