A belated Happy New Year to everyone! Today is my first day back in earnest after celebrating Christmas, New Year and a birthday! A little bit of a shock to the system to say the least! And just when you thought it was safe to not see another wreath for a while … sorry! Just had to post these images taken on my behalf of the largest wreath I’ve made to date for Kings school junior Ely made entirely from hardy foliage gathered by the groundsmen from the school. The wreath ring was made from willow and cherry tree branches .. a fully biodegradable and sustainable wreath. After hanging at the entrance of the school it was repurposed and revamped with an addition of a ribbon to for Christmas Day (it’s a tradition to hang a wreath from the music stand) - so proud to be a part of its journey .. I wonder where it is now?

That’s a wrap for 2022 and what a festive season it has been! Thank you to everyone who has supported us this year - it means a lot to small businesses like me! A special thank you also to my collaborators and friends without whom it would not have been possible to facilitate 70+ wreathmakers plus a wedding!

Making the most of this balmy weather .. I spent an afternoon in the garden making an Autumn wreath. My favourite time of year, especially on blue sky days doing one of my favourite things. The wreath was used to promote our wreathmaking workshops on the 2nd and 3rd - a collaboration with and to show how easy it is to use materials from your own garden or forage from a walk!
Taking time out and slowing the pace feels like a luxury but really we should all make room to slow the pace, and enjoy the space, it’s good for our souls.
If you feel in need of slowing the pace and getting in touch with your creative side come and join us in December on one of our wreath making workshops.

This wreath was gifted to Jane and looked wonderful on one of her gorgeous handmade baskets .. check out her workshops and learn how to weave with willow.

Trying to lay cardboard in our no dig beds was interesting! We were blown across the paddock. After a couple of hours in sunshine and wind we called it a day when this started. When you can't see through your glasses any more it's time to give up. Can you get glasses with windscreen wipers?

Taking some time off with the family this week in Anglesey .. kinda falling in love with it! We hired bikes today from @tomsbikehire today to cycle to this amazing beach and then into a forest cycle! Hubby decided to order electric bikes for us so we could keep up with the teens - I was so cross at the time but now soooo glad he did.. the teens weren’t so impressed! The bikes were amazing and Tom was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the bikes - brilliant service!
