In 2012 the London International Music Festival organisers were invited by the London 2012 Olympic Games Committee (LOCOG) to bring performing groups to the Olympic Park and several other London venues. s the energy, passion and pride of London 2012 to create a new cultural legacy of the Olympic Games and the London International Music Festival was born! The London International Music Festival is designed around 3 core 'pillars' – Education, Performance and Cultural Exchange - and places great emphasis on allowing young ensembles to experience world-class music in order to inspire their own music making. Through workshops, clinics, master-classes and lectures, participants will be given access to a vast pool of teaching talent. The LIMF will include an adjudicated concert and culminate in a unique, massed performance, bringing together ensembles of different styles and cultures in a once-in-a-lifetime musical event.
