Ghost Hunt at Woodchester Mansion 24/5/24.
Woodchester Mansion is rumored to be a hub of spiritual activity, captivating those with a sensitive soul. Visitors have reported hearing a ghostly girl singing a haunting Irish melody, the faint echoes of 1940s music, and catching whiffs of candles that have just been put out in the chapel. Mysterious loud bangs and phantom footsteps add to the eerie atmosphere, despite there being no visible presence causing them.
Last night we began with a quick scout of the building. We’ve been here several times over the years, and the energy feels different each time we go! We felt the bathroom, kitchen, chapel, cellar and 3rd floor were the best places to be, so we did vigils in each room. We all felt unwell in the bathroom. The presence of a lady was detected, and one of our team picked up on a man with a handle bar moustache who was worried about money, and felt very angry.
In the kitchen the Franks Box picked up American and German voices and a team member was shoved from the back - twice!
The chapel was fairly quiet, as was the upper floor, but the cellar produced some fantastic table tipping with the presence of a man wearing an apron, who didn’t want us there …
All in all, a great night of ghostly fun!
We will be around this afternoon at the Love Evesham Day handing out flyers and generally being spooky. Look out for Mr and Mrs Scaretaker !
