I would like to say thank you to every one who has booked City Beats Disco to celebrate their special occasion this year. 2023 has been the most amazing year filled with weddings, birthdays and children’s parties. ⭐️The legacy of a great Mother-in-law⭐️ This is where City Beats started, in my Mother-in -laws dining room. Patricia took the delivery of my equipment and she rang excitedly telling me it had arrived. When I got there, I was surprised to see her dining room looked a little different. She had moved the table into the kitchen and she said “come on then, what you waiting for, set it up”. She was as excited as I was although slightly impatient shouting requests before I even had the booth set up. The moment those lights went on and the music started, Patricia started dancing without a care in the world. She even heckled me, telling me to turn the music up louder. I’m not sure what the neighbours in the cul-de-sac thought of that. I will always remember her as my first party guest up onto the dance floor. She helped me to believe in myself, inspired me to set up City Beats Disco, she gave me a love of Motown and taught me that you can create a dance floor in the smallest of areas.
