rivacy of her Devon design studio you can choose from her couture collection or discuss a bespoke dress design. The process, which begins with a consultation to discuss ideas, is friendly and fun. Try on samples and with Sarah’s help select a dress that suits both your personality as well as your body shape. Sarah Treble, a graduate of St Martins in London, has over 20 years of experience working as a fashion designer, including three seasons as head designer for Valentino in Italy, which instilled in her a love for haute couture. Sarah set up her bridal dress design studio in London in 1998 and returned to her native Devon in 2009. We had this corsage made to the bride’s specifications. She wanted the roses to be just like a particular David Austin rose which was her father’s favourite.
It’s this kind of personal touch that you can only get with a bespoke dress.
An amazing back detail too!

Lots of my brides would like a wedding dresses with sleeves.
They’re notoriously hard to find “off the peg”, probably because sleeves have to be carefully fitted in order to look good and feel comfortable .
That’s why it’s always best to have a dress cut and made to measure.

“Adrienne” from the Sarah Treble Couture Collection was designed in a very organic way.
The beautiful Guipure lace and the arrangement of its motifs, kind of automatically fell into position around the neckline, sleeves and train. Sometimes it just happens like that

I’ve just finished a really lovely commission, I was asked to design and make a dress inspired by the Greek sunset.
It was for a surprise present for his wife.
I was thinking early Agnes B photographic prints….
So we chose the perfect photo and using Photoshop for careful positioning I had the image digitally printed onto beautiful silk crepe de chine.
Then I cut a pattern, taking measurements from her favourite dress, which he posted to me.
Made up the dress and posted it back in time for her birthday.
I really enjoyed this and apparently…she was delighted!
