The quieter months mean a few more smaller, intimate weddings and this stunner of a day was set in The Folly in the beautiful grounds of THE PIG-at Combe. This was my first visit and as soon as I stepped foot in this rustic delight, I could see this setting was going to be a visual treat, the lighting, the décor, the feeling, it’s one of those places you want to be, whether it’s for food, drink or more importantly an intimate wedding ceremony!

Congratulations again Adrian and Charlotte, you made it effortless and gave me the freedom to capture you both at your very best in your bubble of love, just the way it should be!

Now I must plan a return trip to do all the eating and drinking part in The Folly and see what more it has to offer, amazing!

Not long to go, it's going to be great!

With a couple of awesome small weddings last week it's given me a taster of the season ahead, it feels like we are preparing for the amazing unknowns that weddings bring and I am excited for them all. The build up to the ceremony is one of my favourite parts of a wedding day, the nerves, anticipation and emotions all running wild and all leading up to having THE BEST DAY EVER!!!!

All these pics are taken from the build up to these guys ceremonies at the ever stunning Rockbeare Manor I am so looking forward to plenty of visits back there again this season, I can't wait!

My last full day wedding of the year...delivered!!!! and this photo just sums up my year and what I love the most about weddings. The opportunity I have to spend time with awesome people and capture them at their best, belly laughs and all!

So here is Sophie and Jake, taking a bit of time out of their day to get some awesome photos of them both which 99.9999999% of the time ends up with us having a proper giggle! Just the way it should be!

Last week I travelled up to the amazing Quantock Lakes for Jess and Toms big day. I knew I was in for a treat and I wasn't wrong, so much going on all day, they kept feeding me gold! Infectious smiles, constant laughter and a whole lot of love and fun, everyone was awesome and the party was wild. Really looking forward to getting stuck into their photos and sharing more when they are done!

YES!!!!!!!

These two got wed on Saturday, it was so much fun and I know for sure this shot does a great job of setting the tone for the whole day! Laura and Sam tied the knot at Broadhembury church and had their reception at the ever increasingly stunning Deer Park Country House

Everyone was awesome and the day couldn't have gone any better. It was also fantastic to work with Andy from Union Video what a total legend he is!!!!

It was great to also see The Updo Girl working her magic as usual. 🙌

Part of the initial feedback from Laura and Sam was "Thank you for making it fun", this is what it is all about for me, I love what I can do for couples to hopefully make their day even better, so its great to hear!

WINTER SUN – It was one of those fingers crossed moments. When Kevin and Amy contacted me to arrange an engagement shoot in February, we sorted the location and prayed for decent weather and well, as you can see, it couldn’t have been any more perfect!!! The shoot took place at the ever mind blowing Welcombe Mouth on the North Devon coast and we literally had one golden hour to create some magic, we were totally spoiled and Kevin and Amy smashed it, so much fun.

Already looking forward to those springtime sunsets!!

is a sunset dream, looking from the front of the house, you have an epic, open landscape and with pretty much uninterrupted views to the horizon, you can squeeze every last drop out of the setting sun. And any clouds just add to the drama. Love it, cannot wait for more of these next year!

Some pictures don’t need any words!!!!!............Oh go on then!

This is one of my favourite spots for sunset photos, The Oak Barn, is set amongst the most stunning countryside and with far-reaching views of Dartmoor, I always get super excited when golden hour delivers when here. Becca and Dean made it so easy for me, they had the most amazing, fun-filled day and was topped off by this fantastic moment.

I was chuffed to bits when Cat and Brad contacted me to shoot their wedding party which happened last night. I shot their wedding in May 21 but due to the restrictions in place at the time, they were unable to throw the party they wanted. They got married at the stunning Gidleigh Park and due to the rain we had in the build up to the day and on the morning of the wedding, it meant the River Teign which runs through the grounds was raging and as a result, had flooded some of the gardens. But with Brad and Cat being troopers and me not one to shy away from getting wet feet, we got stuck in and made full use of what Gidleigh had to offer. At the party I was really happy to see they had printed and displayed some of their favourite photos from the day, so I thought it was only right that some of these are the ones for me to share, as I know THEY LOVE THEM!!!!

Congrats again Brad and Cat, it was awesome to be able to celebrate with you again, albeit with dry feet this time!

It's that time of year again where I have time to be able to offer my photography beyond weddings.

Over the Autumn and Winter I am offering photography sessions for you and your family (and even your furry friends), you and your partner or you in your profession or business.

I want to reach a lot more people this year so have lowered my prices to make it more accessible to more people.

The main thing with my photography sessions is that they are fun! Of course, my aim is to provide you with fantastic photos but also for you to enjoy every moment of the time we have together.

This is pretty much how the whole day went! infectious smiles from Ryan and Megan loving every second of their small and intimate wedding at the ever stunning Brickhouse Vineyard. I captured this while going for a stroll in the grounds looking for perfect spots for shots, giggling all the way, but it's those moments in between, the really real moments which I am constantly looking out for.

It was awesome to work alongside Capture - Weddings & Event Videography (Sally) and share ideas, always a pleasure and always a lot of fun.

Speeches like this, you know, when they say that! And these speeches were full of those moments. It was so much fun working with Harry and Laura at Ever After - A Dartmoor Wedding. From the first chat we had, it felt like we had been friends for ages, it was amazing to be made so welcome and a part of their big day, fun and laughter from beginning to end. I am so pleased to be able to share their photos with them, I have been smiling and chuckling all the way through the edit, great to relive it all. Congrats again Harry and Laura!

Rockbeare Manor + Spring + Sunset = One of the most stunning settings. I have written about Rockbeare a lot, I have been fortunate to shoot many weddings there yet I never get bored of taking photos like these. Not only is it the perfect opportunity to play and create some stunning images but it also gives couples another moment to remember. This is the most magical part of the day, I wish it lasted longer as you have to think and move fast, but thats all part of the fun.

After all the festivities I’m finally getting round to editing the weddings I shot between Christmas and New Year.

This was taken at the front entrance of Deer Park Country House at Jon and Sam’s stunning and super fun winter wedding. By making use of the uplights already in place and a strategically placed flash and with some fiddling in photoshop, I was able to create this scene. I wanted it to feel festive but not strictly a Christmas picture, I’m really happy with it.

Thank you for the help CvVisualFilms you made awesome light test models and was great bouncing ideas off each other.

A massive congratulations to Jon and Samantha. What a day and night, thank you for being awesome.

Saturday, Clearwell Castle these two.

I don’t often travel out of Devon and Cornwall but it was fantastic to venture “up north” to Gloucestershire on Saturday. I love late autumn/winter weddings, the light, the atmosphere, the festivities all add to the anticipation and excitement of the day, it was a bit chilly mind, but that didn’t stop us.

Edd and Louise fully embraced their big day, so much love and fun always, surrounded with the perfect backdrop.

Moments like this - It's my job to ensure I can capture these moments, moments that come from nowhere, moments you need to be prepared for. You cannot write this but you can be ready, there is an element of luck, there always is. (and this is one of my favourite quotes) "Luck Is What Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity".

Awareness, connection and of course, being reactive allows me to capture these moments.

The morning of a wedding is always full of emotion. The anticipation, the excitement, the nerves and this is often felt by more than just those about to get wed. This is Rachel's Mum and Nan, seeing their girl having the final touches put in place by her bridesmaids. I love this moment, it doesn't really need any words, so I will stop babbling 😀

Sam and Rachel got married at Trenderway Farm Cornwall last month, it was my first time working at this amazing venue and what a treat it was. The team are awesome and the place has everything, well worth a look if you are on the hunt for your wedding venue.

It’s been a while, it’s been madness, I’m nearly there, just a couple more edits to go then I can really get started on looking back over everything I have done and achieved over the last year and start sharing it with the world. With such a massive amount of weddings taking place in such a short period, the focus has been on getting the work done. Having spent time with many other photographers and videographers over the last week, it’s clear it’s been a tough ride for most, but we are getting there! Again I can’t wait to sit down and go over everything that happened and put something together to share how much fun it has been. For now though, here is shot from Froginwell Vineyard with Chris and Emma reaching the end of their confetti line, unscathed, just! 😆
