I am privileged to wear the traditional Toastmaster red uniform but occasionally I am asked to wear a black tailcoat, it started 9 years ago at the wedding of Peter and Emily Andre and I am delighted to offer this alternative to future couples.

Yesterday I returned to Crowcombe Court, (they really do it so well!), for the wedding of Sally and Graham, congratulations and thank you for allowing me to join you . Before the celebration started the weather looked so ominous but it behaved, it was a wonderful day and the venue looked stunning.

I spent election day at the stunning Rockbeare Manor with Shannon, James, their friends and family for a fantastic wedding celebration. I had a quiet few minutes to enjoy the surroundings before greeting guests and managing the plan for the day. Before I left, James opened a bottle of Prosecco with my sword and the couple cut the cake with another sword I then invited them onto the dance floor for the first dance.

Awesome day yesterday at Crowcombe Court for the wedding of Carrie and Tamas a lovely couple with super guests.
My first of several weddings at Crowcombe Court, thanks go to Emily for looking after me.

Yesterday’s wedding at Colehayes Park was incredibly relaxed and laid back and the weather played its part, there was no Plan B!
These photos are before guests arrived when I was making last minute checks. Congratulations A & A, Plan A was a huge success

Rachel and Kayode’s wedding yesterday was remarkable. The service was held at St Andrews Church, Buckland Monachorum with live music in English and Nigerian, the couple travelled on a motorbike and sidecar to their venue Bradstone Weddings, who did them proud.
A ceilidh followed the wedding breakfast and while the guests were served a Nigerian buffet, the wedding party changed into traditional Nigerian costumes, returning for a money spray. Thank you Rachel and Kayode for allowing me to share your incredible day.

I met Kath and Colin at a previous The Imperial Torquay wedding fayre and they booked me on the spot. On the big day I met their guests at The Headland Hotel, Torquay, we travelled to the venue on an old double decker bus for the ceremony and photos, then back on the bus for the reception. Whatever your wedding plans I can make sure it runs smoothly. Thanks to Cresser Photography for the images and your company on the day.

I don’t just make announcements, but when I do I try to politely attract attention, a gentle word in an ear is often enough. Sometimes I have to be louder than a group of guests so they know what is happening. I often use a microphone, or a small dinner bell or a palm gavel. I couldn’t resist this gavel, it is huge can’t imagine when I will need it.
