Just the prettiest palette 🎨 for the most gorgeous group of ladies. I really enjoyed this one, right on my doorstep, full of happy happy people, on a gorgeous August day. Just about perfect ☺️

I don’t do Golden Anniversary flowers using purely yellow roses. But I can do a beautiful late summer array of golden dahlias, gladioli, achillea, rudbeckia, fennel, calendula, Tanacetum, cosmos, ammi, nicotiana and stattice.

That I can do very well.

These have been delivered to the who are so British flower friendly. I love that they support seasonal flowers - which have been grown just down the road. 🙌🏻

Hey Friday 🫶🏼

I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of lovely people at Brunch & Blooms this morning ☺️ for a creative flowery session with FOOD 😍

I’ve been intentionally quiet on here over the last few weeks. I keep looking at the diary for the next 4 months and quickly shutting it 😳. It’s so busy.

So, I decided to keep August slower. Just mindful that I can’t run at a million miles 12 months a year. And actually I don’t want to.

So, I’ve enjoyed the slower August. With a handful of lovely weddings and workshops it’s been a delight! I’m here (sort of) if you would like to order flowers. Although dipping in and out of family time.

With the slower pace I will be so ready for September - which is looking super d**a and then the festive period is looking rather jazzy 😂

Lots of emails going back and forth regarding booking me for work and corporate group bookings. Just a gentle reminder that I can not save dates without deposits 🙏. So if you haven’t got back to me with confirmation to raise an invoice to save your date I’m really sorry but it won’t be saved.

I’m so looking forward to the next 4 months. So much going on. It’s going to be incredible.

Results day! For so many young children, and for a lot of people perhaps not the day they hoped for.

Talking from experience 🙃 I wish I had just taken a moment to remember that if one door closes then it opens other opportunities. Maybe even better opportunities that are more suited to your child.

We are surrounded by quite an elite local community here. Both academically and in sport. We’ve never managed to keep up, and stopped trying many years ago 🫠

If perhaps today brings the results that means a change of plan - the one piece of advice I’d give is just ride out the wave of different emotions that might arrive. Denial, embarrassment, shut down, anger. There’s quite a few! And they will all probably arrive in a short space of time.

A lovely friend of mine who is much wiser and has more brain cells than me once told me - remember to add on the word ‘yet’ to your sentence. Your child might not have achieved the results they want ‘yet’, they might not have started to drive or pass their driving test ‘yet’ and they might not know what direction they are going in ‘yet’

I dislike so much that we force our children in to a rigid one size fits all education. How on earth can that be suitable for everyone? It can’t.

If secondary school wasn’t working out for your child, the next step in education or work , whatever that might look like, really might be their thang ☺️

So, if the results are a bit s**t. Order the big fat pizza anyway. They’ve got through what I think is the hardest 5 years of life anyway

The theme is flower crowns and corsages.

We only have TWO spaces left for this lovely morning of creativity. After a short flower workshop where we shall rustle up a little crown and some buttonholes you will then be treated to a gorgeous brunch from the team at 😍

And I’ve hit the ground running today! 😮‍💨

So much to do 😂….

Lots of you booking on to workshops. Which is fabulous. There is just 1 space remaining for painting dahlias on the 7th September in the afternoon. So snap it up QUICK.

There have been lots of emails about December 🫠🫠🫠. December workshops will be released on the 1st of September for the annual stampede 😂. And there will be a new workshop - the biodegradable wreath - using a willow base and string. Which is super exciting!

Last week was rammed with workshops and this week has a bit of a break from them but a lovely wedding to prepare for 🫶🏼. VERY excited for this 🥰

Wow, what a week 😮‍💨

I’ve just sat down after a 13 hour day and I’m really ready for the sofa 🥴😂

In September we have a few Dahlia related workshops going on:

7th September 2pm - 4pm - part of our petals & paint series is the painting dahlias workshop. I am so excited for this one and am definitely going to take part. After a talk on growing dahlias and choosing some to paint, the wonderful will walk us through painting our dahlias with acrylic paint. Our first workshop in June was a huge success. There are only TWO spots left for this. £55pp
