Last night @potluckcornwall returned, for another memorable social dining evening.
Our manor home was alive with the aromas and flavours curated by Neda from @darchincuisine , making the Nowruz (Persian New Year) celebration truly unforgettable.
Laughter, engaging conversation, and culinary delights filled the air, creating an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie.
Here's a peek at the delightful menu:
- Welcome Canapé: Homemade Hummus on a Cracker, accompanied by Prosecco
- Starter:
- Mirza Ghassemi: Smoked Aubergines with tomato & garlic, served with homemade sun-dried tomato flatbread
- Zeytoon Parvardeh: Olives marinated with walnut, pomegranate molasses, and garlic, paired with fresh herbs, feta cheese, and Persian homemade bread (noon barbari)
- Main:
- Khoresh Fesenjoon with Chicken - Chicken in pomegranate & walnut sauce
- Ghalieh Mahi: Fish in a tamarind & herb sauce
- Vegetarian Option: Khoresht Araf: Celery stew with dry limes, turmeric, and fresh herbs including mint & parsley
- Dessert: Persian Baklava served with vanilla ice cream.
Adding to the ambiance was a Haft-Seen spread gracing the corner table, a traditional display for Nowruz. This symbolic arrangement, featuring items starting with the Persian letter "س" (pronounced "seen"), embodies hopes and wishes for the coming year. From sprouted wheat or lentil (sabzeh) symbolizing rebirth to dried fruit of oleaster (senjed) representing love, each element carried significance and tradition.
It warms our hearts to see our house come to life with such vibrant gatherings.

The term Raj originates from Rajasthan – A land of Rich Royalty and Desert Nomads! As History has it, The Kings and Monarchs of Rajasthan have always patronised art and culture over the years. Their Tents were richly decorated with splendid interiors and traditional block print patterns.

Landscaping ✅
We are delighted to share an update on the Half Court and Walled Garden. All landscaping is now completed, the sculptures are in, the grass is truly green and the flowers are blooming 🌸
How exciting is this?! Stood in the centre of the Half Court, a new space for wedding ceremonies. Can also see the layout of the Walled Garden really coming together. Looks bare now, but come spring this will all be beautiful grass and gravelled pathways!
