Faringdon's charity record fair, usually held a couple of times a year for local people and selected retailers to bring great music to our Market Square.

This time next week we'll be in the thick of it - Faringdon's community charity Record Fair based around The Old Town Hall - featuring all of this.

We're very much looking forward to the 23rd, we've got a few new sellers this time, so welcome to Pete, Steve and Mark (who has been once before), alongside our perennials Eddie Rugg, Mike from Play it Again, Paul from Little Record Store, Simon from Swindon and our very own Andy Kehoe. The African Children's Fund are back selling refreshments upstairs too. See the current layout arrangement below. Click on picture to see full details.

We're getting excited about the Record Fair on this Saturday fast approaching. We're aware that it's also Record Store Day and that a new record fair is happening in Oxpens, Oxford, but surely there's time to do all of it.

Several of the Los Amigos DJs will be putting out some cool music into the square on the day too.

Thanks to those kind people who have donated old vinyl for rehoming and raise some money for A Helping Hand at the same time.

We've also provisionally reserved Saturday 23rd November for the next one too!

The good news is that we've now filled the gap left by someone having to drop out, so we should have a full complement of sellers on the 20th - 3 upstairs and 3 downstairs and two or three charity stalls too plus at least four of Los Amigos DJs playing tunes outside during the fair.

Set the date of Saturday 20th April in your diaries for our next Faringdon Record Fair at The Old Town Hall. We have four great sellers already confirmed for the day but would like to fill the space up and have room for two more sellers, one upstairs and one downstairs. So if anyone's interested in taking a table, at £10 each, please message us. We have some borrowed tables. Both Acacia and the African Children's Fund will be there too. We'll also be fundraising for a very local group called 'A Helping Hand' this time round, who help families struggling in our town.

Thanks to everyone who came to sell records at yesterday’s Record Fair and to everyone who came along and supported the event. Pleased to say that we collected about £230 for Root & Branch. All being well we will hold another one around April.

We are pleased to say that we have a date for all: our next Faringdon Record Fair will be on Saturday 18th November at the Old Town Hall from 10 to 2pm.

In case you were wondering where all the records went. 12 Faringdon djs will be playing their vinyl all day this Sunday from 12 noon to 10pm at the Pump House Project in Faringdon to raise some cash for this fine community charity. Poster and programme below, all welcome to come for a while, or longer. Bar available and quieter outdoor space too.

Just to say thank you to everyone who sold, bought and donated records and supported Root & Branch, Acacia Charity, the African Children's Fund and the British Heart Foundation too. Plus Faringdon Town Council and the War Memorial Trust for helping out with the building, Polly for her fabulous quiches and cakes and finally to all the Los Amigos who came and gave us some tunes on the day, they were Mike L, Kehoe, Echoman, Vinyl Matt, Bradders, Samuel Cordery and The Big Boss Groove. We'll be back in about six months to do another. Thank you all from organisers Martin and Al.

A gentle reminder of what's on offer tomorrow at the Record Fair. Six excellent record stalls upstairs and downstairs at the Old Town Hall. Coffee tea, cakes and quiches upstairs from the African Children's Fund. Outside on the apron stalls from Acacia Charity, the British Heart Foundation, Root & Branch as well as our own stall selling donated records for Root & Branch. Some gems amongst them. Thanks to all who have donated so far, - all proceeds to Root & Branch too! and musical instruments and ephemera on sale at ACF charity shop too. The guitar not the ageing rocker!

We're a little over a week away from the next Faringdon Record Fair on Saturday 22 April from 10am to 2pm in The Old Town Hall in the Market Square. We have some great vendors as well as charity stalls selling mainly pre-loved vinyl from the past few decades.

Entry is £1 per person and all proceed go to Root and Branch. Refreshments will also be available.

If you have records you would like to donate, we can sell them for you and all proceeds will also go to Root and Branch. Please let us know asap.

A rough of map of who's going where at the Fair, not to scale. Very much looking forward to it. Six sellers, three charity stalls, one information stall with several Los Amigos outside. Mike upstairs is from 'Play it Again' in Wantage and Paul downstairs has his pop up record store "Little Record Store'.

Due to a family matter one of our sellers at the Fair has had to withdraw. His space was going to be outside under the Old Town Hall, which means that two tables have opened up for someone else to come and sell their vinyl. Anyone interested please send a message. Spread the word. Thanks.
