Want to start the new year by learning a new skill - either to help your horse or to start a new career? 20-22 January 2024 in Oxfordshire - the Foundation 3 day course. Email [email protected] for more information or to sign up. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the core moves which are central to Equine Touch. It provides a balance of theory and practice so that by the end you will feel confident to practice a body balance sequence which addresses all the main muscle groups, and which promotes deep relaxation in the horse.

This sequence is both so gentle yet so powerful that it remains the first thing any Equine Touch practitioner would do when seeing a new horse for the first time. We also look at the key Area of Concern procedures which are performed over common areas of tension – such as the hamstrings, shoulder and around the face.

The Foundation Equine Touch course is a great chance to learn the basics of Equine Touch bodywork to do on your own horse to help them be straighter, more in balance and with less muscular tension. It really helps with connection and relaxation as well as being something they absolutely love!

If you would then like to progress with further study, you can do the Intermediate course or start on the practitioner route.

Tutor: Caroline Gregson
Has inspired you? It is always so invigorating to learn something new! During this two day workshop we will have a chance to learn how to weave animal sculptures. No experience necessary for this fun and accessible medium. Caroline reports: “I have had people make horse trophy heads, various breeds of dogs, hares, goats, deer, as well as sheep and small flocks of birds. In the past we have had unicorns, dragons, birds in flight and simple human figures so anything might be possible. I like a challenge!”

Caroline has over 16 years of teaching experience and the excellence of Caroline’s work has been recognised by The Worshipful Company of Basketmakers, one of the trade companies of the City of London and since 2010 she is honoured to be a Yeoman of the Company. Caroline has created sculptures for RHS Chelsea, RHS Hampton Court and RHS Tatton Park Flower shows. She has been regularly commissioned to make work for the National Trust, the RHS Gardens and Hampton Court Palace as well as exhibiting in galleries around the country.

The venue is Starlight Cottage, nestled in a beautiful corner of the Cotswolds. Lunch and all materials will be provided.

Cost: £285

What a lovely Easter themed photo!

I have been given a wonderful spring bloom posy by Starlight Cottage to see how the amazing flowers look like when they have opened up. The kitchen smells amazing. The colours of the individual flowers are an absolute delight and we are about to tuck into Mr Farmer’s birthday cake. Happy days!!!! 💛

Having fun photographing all my dahlias so I can remember what I actually have when it is time to order more tubers! And a beautiful butterfly was drinking nectar from this first one - a reminder to get some more single dahlias as they are the ones insects can get to in terms of feeding 💕🌸
