This is just a little insight into my life…. Away from the balloons 🎈
Not everyone knows this but when I was 11 I was diagnosed with Vitiligo. I hated it! I used to think why me? But I guess I slowly learnt to live with it.
Years went by and I ended up with a few more ‘auto immune’ problems…
But about 5 years ago I went through a really hard few years which ended up with me losing my hair because of the stress.. alopecia is another auto immune problem.
I went to the doctors, dermatologist and endocrinologist but noone could help me.
It got worse and worse, I tried dying it but the vitiligo destroyed my pigment so it wouldnt hold the dark dye on the white hair that was growing back, SLOWLY!!!
I had given up all hope of ever having nice hair again so I always wore it up and just started trying to embrace the white strands at the front of my hair.
But I was lucky enough to have an amazing hairdresser come to my rescue and take all the risks of trying to go lighter again. We know we aren’t fully there yet but OMG!!! The difference!
I could not be any happier with the outcome! 10 hours in the heat yesterday and this is the result. I am in love with my new hair and as stupid as it sounds, I feel like a new woman!!
I cannot thank my hairdresser enough for just going for it and making it work!
I know I’m lucky my hair grew back but I also hated having the white fluffy hair standing out so much.
For anyone that wants to know I used rosemary oil shampoo, conditioner and actual oil on my hair. Then I take B12, multivitamins, folic acid, turmeric, hair, skin and nail vitamins and I know these have all helped with my hair growth so go get some!!!
