The weeks celebrations cakes complete - A sage colour themed naked Wedding cake delivered to the Stunning Cooling Castle in Rochester - marbled chocolate and Vanilla, raspberry and white chocolate and lemon drizzle.

A traditional vanilla 4 layered high cake to celebrate an 80th Birthday.
Thank you for choosing us to be part of your celebrations.

Now onto the Cake and Bake Hut baking and a buffet for a little one’s birthday.

Where has the week gone??

It's nearly that time again cake and bake hut saturdays!! 🎊🎊

We have all the original cakes you know and love ❤️

This week in the hut we will have 3 new items -
Maple and pecan cake
Flapjack drizzled with chocolate
Slices of victoria sponge

We are also doing a bramley apple crumble and a homegrown rhubarb crumble 🍎🍏 a nice comforting crumble for the weather that's incoming 🌧

Also speedy will be doing cheese and pickHEEL (pickle) cheesey feet!!

Due to feedback we have received we will be opening earlier so please pop down on Saturday at a NEW time of 10AM!!

After an amazing sell out Saturday we are looking for some suggestions on some cakes that you would like to see in the hut in the future.

We aim to make everybody happy so if there is something you love that we haven't done yet please comment below and we will endeavour to get it in the hut for you.

We are excited to share news of the launch of our New Cake & Bake Hut, opening Saturdays 11.00 - 18.00. Perfect for the Hop Festival

Will be at our premises 122 St John’s Road -ME13 8EL (East Street end) just a stones throw from the post office traffic lights. On Route to the Park.

Let us know what’s your favourite treat and we will endeavour to introduce into the Hut.

Little treat box went to a lovely lady for her birthday.
A 2 tier vanilla buttercream cake topped with fresh fruit and red roses for a Ruby Wedding Anniverary and lots of buffet trays have gone out over the past week.

Been busy and forgot to post the latest cake creations.
A real variety from Biscotti to Paddington, lots of chocolate in these batch of cakes though.
Happy Birthday to Connor, Johnson, Katie, Orla and our very own Max whose request was a Oreo Drip cake.

Today was the day that Kay’s Country Kitchen moved from running out of the house kitchen to its own domain.
Super pleased to have my very own everything in one place Cake Room. Which was checked over by The Environmental Health Team today and we received a 5 star rating.
Brand new food hygiene etc books in place (the old ones were well used and a bit battered) even completed a new level Health and hygiene course to go with the new room.(again old one a bit drog eared).
I have my brother Tom Rogers to thank for making this possible, he gave up his days off to create this for me.
Steve Speed no longer has to live in an icing sugar clouded kitchen , he has grinned and bared it for years, I am sure I will still call upon his washing up skills though.
Happy days - thank you to eveyone that has had your cakes and catering from us and I very much look forward to creating lots of lots more pieces of cake deliciousness.

The pottery cake lady in the corner was a gift from Joe and Tracy Speed many moons back.

What to do on a rainy Friday afternoon - head off to support my grandchildren’s school with a cake bake at their little fayre. Joined by Mum
And her lucky dips
Ospringe School I am sure our 2 helpers George and Mollie will rock up to join us.

I have Bread Pudding, lemon drizzle, coffee & walnut. Madeline, chocolate and the old school favourite.

Was invited to the celebration of Debbie and John’s wedding and also had the privilege of being asked to make a selection of mini cakes for it too.
Carrot - banana & walnut - battenburg topped - vanilla and chocolate butterflies - ice cream 99 inspired chocolate and vanilla ones - cherry Bakewell- chocolate topped with fruit - lemon meringue.

An array of colours and flavours.

Always love making a wedding cake and this classic 1940’s themed wedding all setup in a beautiful venue looked amazing.

Made something a bit different today - little Christmas Dundee Cakes/ Christmas Cake which are :
Gluten Free
Dairy Free
Egg Free
No extra Sugar added in the cake mix

Either marzipanned & iced or for less sugar topped with Cherries and nuts.

Ingredients in the cake are :-
Mixed dried fruit
Almonds
Orange juice
Gluten free flour.

Each cake has a little apricot jam added to the top

Therefore suitable for Vegans and those with the above tolerances and a cake with no added sugar.
Priced at £5 each
