Yesterday’s Galentines Hand Tied Bouquet workshop was lots of fun.

The ladies left with a vase of pink & red flowers to be proud off, I taught them the technique of spiralling stems & a few other florist tips.

I did forget to tell you all, there is a care card attached behind my business card & the best way to keep your flowers fresh is to keep somewhere cool, change the water at least every other day & recut the stems.

Also remember the tulips will grow towards the light so you can gently lift & twist the stems.

Today I’m having a day off flowering before the madness of valentines on Friday, I’ve had a big lie in, seeing a friend for a cuppa & catch up although had to move this by 1/2hr as currently sat here with wet hair then off for Sunday dinner at the Salthouse.

Don’t panic you’ve not forgotten Valentine’s Day ♥️

It’s actually the Galentines workshop today at 2pm I’m looking forward to teaching you all how to make your own hand tied bouquet.

Coffee first & then I’ll be making cupcakes, chilling the Prosecco & tidying the flower studio.

Also Valentines orders are coming in & I’ve had a few messages saying your email says it will be ready tomorrow, don’t worry it’s a glitch on my system (I’m not great with technology!) they will be ready for you to collect on Thursday 13th if you’d like to gift them yourself or will be delivered Friday on Valentine’s Day.

Yes it’s ’Free Delivery Friday’ & ladies I’ve organised extra flowers as know there will be lots of last minute orders it happens every year.

A cold & frosty start & I’m having my morning coffee waiting for flowers to arrive.

These varieties of British Tulips are arriving today , thanks to all of you that have messaged reserving a bunch for tomorrow. I think I have just one bunch left!!!
They will be a mixture of both red & pink & will be £15.

There will also be mixed bunches for £20 .

Tulips 🌷

Can’t wait for mine to bloom in April/May, in the meantime I order British ones that are hypo tropically grown in greenhouses direct from the grower.

Flowers are arriving tomorrow if you’d like to order any for this weekend.

Also today is the last day to book on to this Saturday’s workshop to make your own Valentines flowers.

Off to .pilates soon & then another day in the greenhouse potting on seed babies & trying to find more room to start seed sowing for summer flowers.

Valentine’s Day is 10 days away ♥️

Last night I sent out a hint, hint email so you can forward on to your significant other to remind them to order flowers.

If you Pre order flowers before this Friday the 7th February, it will guarantee the best blooms.

Of course I’ll order extra as I know from years of working in the floristry industry most men are notoriously disorganised. I admire the ones that aren’t as yes some have already organised their loved ones flowers.

Happy Monday

I couldn’t resist putting some more gorgeous Wedding photos on from Megan & Andy’s big day, last weekend.

They made me smile, they had a glorious sunny day & you can see their love in a photograph.

On a note to self wear something other than gardening clothes when delivering Wedding florals in future (See stories I look like a scarecrow! Thank god it’s in black & white)

Hope you all had a fab weekend? My son came home, it was my grandsons 2nd birthday, I got out in the sunny cutting garden & went to see a West End screening of Les Miserables which was amazing at Felixstowe Cinema.

Happy Sunday, it definitely feels like Spring is coming.

Yesterday as I wandered around the cutting garden, I noticed the Spring bulbs starting to emerge.

February is the shift in the growing season, & seed starting begins for summer flowers.

Today’s photograph is my kitchen island arrangement, there were 3 white tulips & 3 paper whites left over from Friday flowers & I just added some foliage & twigs from the garden, bringing nature inside.

Create your own Valentines Hand Tied bouquet with Suffolk Flower Garden this February.

Galantine’s celebrates women’s friendship & events are typically all-female occasions of mutual empowerment & a reminder for women to support and uplift one another

You will learn how to create a spiralled stem hand tied bouquet & we will be using a range of red & pink flowers with foliage.

I will show you how to prepare the stems & then demonstrate the technique & teach you how to hold & arrange the flowers. We will finish by showing you how to tie the bouquet, you can then pop in a gift bag with a jar of water so it’s easy to transport home.

If you book this weekend I’ll upgrade the jar to a vase.

Everything is included in the price of the workshop & spaces are limited to 8

£60 per person

Includes a glass of fizz, tea, coffee or hot chocolate & homemade cake

Please note if you are unable to attend the workshop there will be no refund, the reason being I have to order all the high cost materials in advance, in the event of cancellation I can make your hand tied bouquet for you.

Spring flowers left the flower studio yesterday for Friday flowers.

It was a gloomy Friday & these brought sunshine into the house.

I’m not the biggest fan of yellow flowers. but the exception is spring flowers with scented narcissi. They come in a range of hues from cream to bright yellow.

Also sunflowers which always make people smile.

Today I’m hoping it stays dry & plan to tidy up the cutting garden & pot on seedlings in the greenhouse.

It’s Friday & the last day of January.

Lots of you have been saying how long the month has been but this hasn’t been the case with me. Lots of plans are underway….

Luxury vases have been popular this week & have been for a retirement & a memorial.

Spring flowers have arrived in the flower studio for . I only have one bunch not spoken for, so it’s doubtful it will make the website they are £20 & include some gorgeous scented narcissi.

This gorgeous Luxury Hand Tied Bouquet left the studio for 40th Birthday.

I loved all the different textures in this one & pretty pastels.

A day off for me today, I’m off to Pilates this morning & then out for lunch.

Last wedding photo I promise, I thought I’d show you how I package the flowers

Brides often ask about transporting their flowers particularly when they are collecting. All bouquets go out in a small amount of water in either a jar or vase which is then wrapped in tissue & placed in a gift bag.

This keeps the bridal & bridesmaid’s bouquets hydrated all that needs to be done prior to leaving for the wedding is a quick dry of the bottom of the stems.

Megan & Andy 25.01.25

First wedding of 2025 & was the most chilled out bride to date, no wedding consultation needed, she wanted a large rose bridal bouquet & left the rest to me, making her a dream client.

She had an amazing sunny day for January, especially as the weather on Sunday was a complete contrast & shocking.

Day off flowers today but that means housework which I do on a Monday to reset for the week. Boring but needed

So I’ve been keeping a secret with she planned a surprise wedding.

Such a fun & lovely idea, her guests thought it was an engagement party but they had got married with their closest friends.

Megan was a dream client to work for, she knew she wanted a large trailing bridal bouquet & large roses & left me to create the rest.
