Folkestone Harbour Arm Reinventing the English Seaside Experience Folkestone’s Harbour Arm has swiftly become the beacon for the regeneration of Folkestone as a destination town.

Still in the early stages of its redevelopment, Folkestone’s Harbour Arm has rapidly become a food, drink and entertainment destination for the town and its visitors. Originally the railway terminal for the Folkestone- Boulogne Ferry and departure point for soldiers on their way to the Western Front, the arm still embraces the town’s working fishing harbour, becoming a pivotal point in the town’s

future and its historical past. Small, independent businesses along the pier give it its unique flavour, and its reputation is growing as restoration continues along the platform and across the railway bridge and beyond, with the addition of an onsite bakery and brewery, a regular farmer’s market and other seasonal events.

Next Sunday (16th March) join us for the first ever Harbour Hooley!

As well as a creating what we hope to be Folkestone's largest ever Ceilidh (large, group dance, similar to a barn dance) with live, traditional music from , you can also build your stamina and confidence at our exclusive Guinness and Irish Stew Bar.

Open 12pm - 5pm, Ceilidh takes place 2pm - 4pm.

🍸 Gaia Studio UK have worked with their coffee roasters - Skinny Dip Coffee to showcase five female coffee grower inspired cocktails,15% of the profit from each will be donated to Fourth Wall Folkestone

🎸 Female led Folkestone punk band Pretty Crap will be rockin' the stage in the Goods Yard 3pm - 5pm.

🍺 Taste Brewing Brothers female brewed Beer, ‘Moxie’, it will be on tap at Brewing Brothers Beachside.

🍹 Female-owned Kentish produce champions, WILD BOX will be returning to The Goods Yard for a pop-up Cocktail bar.

Folkestone Harbour is buzzing with businesses from fierce female entrepreneurs, not only that, even more of our businesses have women at the helm.

To celebrate this year’s IWD, Folkestone Harbour has a mix of goings on:

Open this weekend!
Folkestone Marketplace returns for its 4th year
featuring a selection of Folkestone and Kent's best
creators, makers and artisans.

During March, huts will be open 11am - 4pm, Saturdays
and Sundays.
Then from April, Folkestone Marketplace will be open
11am - 6pm Saturdays, Sundays and all Bank Holidays.

There are still some huts left to trade with us in April -

We're incredibly excited to announce a brand new event: The Harbour Hooley.

Join us as The Goods Yard transforms for a one-day, Gaelic celebration on Sunday 16th March from 12noon.

Not only are we set to welcome an exclusive Guinness and Irish Stew Bar, we're also incredibly excited to be hosting what we hope to be the biggest Ceilidh Folkestone has ever seen! Bowreed will be playing host; leading you through group dances and performing traditional live music, bringing this historic folk tradition to life in the most authentic way. Bowreed will be performing 2pm - 4pm.

This event is completely free; we can't wait to welcome you.
