Sometimes Elephants like to sun bath, sometimes Elephants can be very helpful in sorting through patterns for what to make next...... and sometimes Elephants go to play in the Rainbow factory, I think he will now be multicoloured, for always and always.........

This year the President's Cup for best in show was awarded to Anne Brister for her Jam Tartlets, baking something that looks simple and making it look so tempting to eat is quite the task, homemade shortcrust pastry baked to a warm golden brown, that is light and not a soggy bottom in sight, is the standard hoped for, and this year was attained beautifully by Anne.
Congratulations Anne, now spill the beans what's your secret, share your knowledge and help the youngsters, so that they too in time can bake "perfect pastry".

Thank you to the Pupils and Staff at Freethorpe Primary School for such a lovely display and all the posters you made for the 2024 show. Really, really have my fingers crossed that you will do something equally as brilliant next year for the Freethorpe & District Flower Show. It is quite surprising how quickly the summer of 2025 will come around

The Flower Show 24th August 2024, has now been and gone, thank you to everyone who joined in entered exhibits, or came along as support, it was lovely to see a room full of smiles.
I did take some photographs some of which worked some of which did not, but the following posts should give you a very small sample of the fun and the madness that is a village show.
I did spot several people taking photographs of the exhibits, please if you can post them on here.
