WELCOME TO RISE

Built in the early 1800s, RISE – formerly known as The HUBnub Centre – is a lovingly restored former church located in the heart of Frome. Within the building there are two venue hire spaces catering for a wide variety of classes and events, a contemporary art gallery, a cafe and play space for families to enjoy and offices and work space.

RISE – a place to relax, play, work, eat. A place to be together.

Looking for a venue?

We have two beautiful, affordable and versatile venue spaces for classes, business meetings, events or birthday parties starting from £15 per hour. THE WHITTOX GALLERY

Based in the beautiful mezzanine within RISE and overlooking the popular Rye Bakery, The Whittox Gallery opened in May 2017 under the name The HUBnub Gallery. The Gallery has established a reputation for exhibiting the highest standard of works by contemporary artists and designers, and each show is expertly curated in-house.

The Gallery’s Curator sources local and national artists and designers from all different mediums and styles, and has an eye for detail and colour which ensures that each collection promises to inspire and excite visitors to the unique gallery. Each exhibition aims to compliment the historic and architectural features of this wonderful building.

Open to the public 6 days a week and free to attend, visitors are welcome to explore the gallery and the works of art throughout the year.
