That's a wrap on my spring workshops! 🪻 So grateful to everyone who came along and made a wreath or a lovely bowl arrangement.

I'm busy planning some summer workshops. I'll definitely be doing some more flower arranging ones. Perhaps a peony one? If there's anything you're particularly keen for then send me a wee DM. 🩷

The most chaotic, unruly flower crown ever. I used bulbs, a stupid amount of bulbs actually, ivy plants, quail eggs and dried vines, feathers and moss to make this monster of a headdress. It weighed a tonne.

All the muscari have now been planted in a brass trough and placed on my mantle. As disorderly as the bulbs were to work with, it felt good that they have a purpose after being used for this crown.

I have a confession: I'm a serial plant slaughterer. Despite this, I bought these lovely little snowdrops from last year.

I have a whole shelf of my bookcase dedicated to folklore and fairytales. The darker, more gothic, the better. That was the inspo for this. So moody and dramatic, I love it!

This is maybe the worst business decision, but I never do anything for Valentine's. I worked in an Interflora shop from aged 14 to 21, and worked every single Valentine's. My poor wee hands from stripping all the red roses of their thorns.

But the worst bit would be the 100 plus men that made the same joke 'Are those for me?' or 'Oh, you shouldn't have!' whenever they walked into the shop and saw me with flowers in my hand. Even now, over ten years later, my blood starts boiling at how unfunny it is.

I've paid my dues! I pretended to laugh at the terrible jokes! I conditioned a million red roses! And so I skip it. 32 year old Sarah just doesn't have the patience.
